Then the angel moved over to Zee and laid his hand on her elbow, there was an audible >snap!< of the bones clicking back in place and the hunter groaned but rolled back up to a sit, no longer looking ashy and shaky with pain. She did still look a little green, and crossed her arms over her stomach like she was trying to keep something in. "Thanks," she said to Castiel. "And what the fuck are you doing here? I thought Jophiel was my...contact, or whatever you'd call it." Castiel stood between the two beds, awkward as always in the loose raincoat. "You were losing. I cannot have you dying in a random hunt for demons." His 'you' seemed to be collective rather than singular. Darrius winced as he felt himself being healed, it smarted but it quickly vanished. His blue eyes blinked at Castiel "Thanks." he said politely. His head turned to see Zee being heeled and winced as his phoenix's ears heard the snapping of bones. (Ouch, that gotta hurt.) he thought as he grimaced a little at the noise.
He turned to Zee who is talking to Castiel and cocked his head. "That is one way to say hello and thank you to someone." he whispered, to mostly himself, as he stood up from the bed. The immortal put his hands in his jeans pockets before sitting at a chair and crossing his legs. The phoenix's blue eyes blinked calmly as he waited to be asked or to be talked to. He really don't want to interfere a conversation, so he sat there and waited patiently.
Castiel also reminded him of Samil and wondered if they have a relationship or not. He also knows that Zee knows this angel in the trench coat and slightly cocked his head in interest and felt a bit of puzzlement.

"I've got my reasons for being wary. But hey, thanks for muttering under your breath like a passive-aggressive thirteen year old girl instead of just expressing your opinion out loud." She looked back at Castiel, who simply stood with his hands in his pockets and looked back at her with a certain expectation on his face. Oddly, it seemed as though the angel broke first. "You need to be more careful." "No." The negative was sharp, bitten out into the air. A reproachful look. "Mackenzie, you--" "Don't call me that!" She actually drew her gun, aimed it at Castiel just as though it would do anything to him except put a temporary hole in the lapel of his coat. "Don't you ever call me that. And don't you come riding up on your big white horse now just because--" she broke off, her mouth worked silently for a moment. "Where were you when I was fourteen, asshole? Darrius looked at Zee calmly and did not answer her snottiness. (What a way to get angry.) he thought as he decided to not do anything about the anger in the huntress. His blue eyes slightly narrowed as he fought back from showing anger to her, which would make the woman even more angry.
The immortal watched Castiel get the attention with Zee's anger. He stood up slowly as things started to jump in hatred of Zee. His blue eyes blinked calmly. The phoenix waited patiently as he stood nearby Castiel and Zee. They started to go into a bad argument. He waited patiently before he saw the gun which made his eyes widen slightly.
He started to slid between the gun and Castiel. His eyes slowed calmness and politeness as he said, "Why don't we stop this. I don't want anyone shooting at anyone." he said calmly as he eyed Zee down as he stood in the way of Castiel. (I am not scared of being shot at.) he thought as he waited for what Zee will do.

"I'm not going to fucking shoot him. What good would that even do? Just waste a bullet and he'd still be taking my choices away from me." "Enough." Castiel finally seemed to be getting sick of this argument. "This is not accomplishing anything. I interfered because you were both going to be killed. Would you rather I hadn't?" The hunter narrowed her eyes and holstered her gun. "It's not that you 'interfered.'" And she wasn't shouting any more, but there was deep resentment in her tone. "It's why. Three months ago I'd have died in the woods and rotted where I fell and nobody would have known my name." That seemed to score a hit, the angel looked away from her and appeared almost...shamed. "You are known now. Heaven sees you." Again he glanced over at Darrius, seeming to include him in that. "Heaven," Zee declared firmly, "can suck my dick. I'm taking a shower." She pulled off all her weaponry except for one pistol and grabbed some clothes out of a dresser drawer, was already peeling off her tank top as she walked to the bathroom and shut the door firmly behind her. Castiel gave Darrius a helpless sort of look. "I do not understand women." Darrius sighed softly as he heard that Zee will not shoot. (Good, I hate when people starting shooting things when their angry.) he thought before putting his hands in his jean pockets again as he listened to Castiel talk to Zee. (Better be saved then go to hell with those demons.) he thought to himself before his blue eyes went from Castiel to Zee, as they talked to each other.
"You are known now. Heaven sees you." he heard and seemed to be included in the phrase and blinked silently as Zee gave a snotty, nasty response. (Wow, she is really snooootty.) he thought a bit surprised by her words as she left to be showered. He sighed as she left the room before turning to Castiel to catch "I do not understand women." which made his head shake in with a chuckle trying to come out of the phoenix's lips.
"Well, I agree on that, my friend. Women do have an unique or strange behavior. They be calm and polite before they suddenly go into a fit of anger."Darrius said softly. "I have been in many arguments in my life. I sort of learned to go with the flow or to just stay silent. I even try my best to stop the argument before it turns way out of control." he said to Castiel. "That is what I do around women, most of the time. Also, I do try to keep a calm air around me when I am faced with an upcoming argument. It sort of helps when your calm. It handles the argument bit easier then when you have a different behavior." the phoenix finished before turning to the bathroom in case Zee heard his words. He looked down as he threaded his fingers together as he sat on a chair.
(That is all I have to say, but its your decision on what you want to do during a argument with a woman.) his eyes turns to Castiel again, before he looked elsewhere. His ears are also open to listen to Castiel if he has any questions or comments about what Darrius's pointers.

Darrius nodded, "It does work. Many people use it around women." he said to the guardian angel. "It does help the situation, but rarely it doesn't work. It really depends on the woman's attitude that day." he said politely. The immortal stopped talking and looked at the angel. (Dang, it seems that you had a rough day.) he thought, as he saw how terrible Castiel looks.
Darrius then heard his question and paused to think. "Hm, if you want to say that she or he is right. I will just tell them that their right on a thing or subject that their arguing to you about something." the phoenix said politely. His still felt a bit bad about how Castiel looks right now. His head looked to the ground as he wondered to himself if Zee or him made Castiel look that bad.

"I have never had much luck with passivity," he said reflectively. "Waiting for someone else to take the lead, take the responsibility. It has always worked out that if I do not step up to what needs to be done--whether that is altering the shape of a destiny or allowing a woman to shout at me--the situation only worsens. Failing to choose is a choice in and of itself." He looked toward the bathroom where the sound of the shower continued. There was something too intent about his face, like maybe he could see through the wall, maybe see through the girl beyond it too. "The world is so much more complicated than I thought it was. You humans," and from an angel's perspective, Darrius was very much human, very much mortal, "are so contradictory. You're neither one thing or another, not even in turn. All different things at once, it's maddening. I know what's right for Heaven. I just never know what's right for you." Darrius listens into Castiel's words. He sort of feels bad for Castiel who has been in some major fights with women. He softly nodded. Destiny can sometimes be a huge pain to follow. Darrius's blue eyes blinked softly as he went into deep thought about what Castiel said. His blond hair slightly moved as he nodded his head again as he kept being in deep thought.
Darrius looked toward the show again before sighing. He then quirked a brow to Castiel as he heard that he is much like a human. (I am not a mortal. I am immortal and a phoenix.) he thought before shrugging it away. He then listened to Castiel and kept quite.

She wore a long rosary around her waist like another girl would wear a belly chain, and the dog tags on the ball chain wrapped around and around her left wrist weren't American--the shape was wrong, there were too many lines of text. With no makeup on she looked much younger, young enough that the scars that criss-crossed her legs and arms and torso from years of hunting looked a bit obscene. No body so soft and pale should bear so many ugly scars, especially not with the way her face seemed to be all eyes and smooth cheeks and small, wounded mouth. Not that her attitude appeared to have changed any. Zee walked out and dropped the dirty clothes into a corner, headed over to the dresser and started digging around in her bag. She picked up a pack of cigarettes and a lighter, then made an angry sound in her throat and set them down again. Turning back to Castiel and Darrius she asked them, "What do you want?" Maybe surprisingly, there was no anger or challenge in it. She just sounded maybe a little tired. Castiel was first with an answer. "You must tell him." Zee actually flinched away from that. "Not yet. Not until I decide what I'm doing with it." The angel's eyes narrowed, his face darkened. "What you are doing...?" That fast she was angry again. "It's my choice," she snapped out. But this time the angel answered with a fury of his own, he reached out and grabbed her shoulders, pulled her forward to him. "It is not your choice. You will not destroy this." She literally growled at him. "Don't tell me what I will or won't do. This is my decision, my life you're fucking around with." She might have said more but she actually cried out in pain as Castiel's hands tightened on her upper arms with more-than-human strength. Darrius blinked as Zee walked in. She seemed better then when he met her on the path to the demons. His blue eyes blinked politely. He is quite happy that Zee is alright after the fight with the demons. The phoenix softly sighed as he waited for anything to happen.
He paused when he heard the question. "I..." is all he said before Castiel something. (Huh?) the still young phoenix cocked his head slightly. His eyes went back and forth with Zee's and Castiel's argument. "Wait, who is..." he said before he shut his mouth when Castiel said something to make the immortal stop. Darrius stuffed his hands in his pockets as he waited patiently for the argument to stop when Castiel grabbed Zee's arm.
Darrius then sighed as he buried his face in his hands. "Why are you guys arguing? Is this topic worth arguing about? Who is he that your arguing about?" he asked as his blue eyes went to Castiel to Zee with patience and softness in his gaze.

He snatched his hands back as though burned, and Zee backed away from him rapidly, ignoring the bright pink handmarks on her upper arms and moving immediately to retrieve her assault rifle. "Keep your goddamned hands off of me," she spat. Castiel looked either furious at Zee or horrified at himself, it was hard to tell immediately. But he seemed to decide that it was safer to answer Darrius than to address the hunter, and so he turned to face the phoenix. "Yes." His voice was ragged and low, grating. "It is worth arguing over. It is worth doing anything to protect the child to come." "Fuck you." But Zee didn't even sound angry any more, just tired and sad, though the barrel of the gun didn't waver. Darrius looked from the angel to the woman. He has a huge, fat question above his head as the phoenix blinked calmly. He is not sure of what to say to them. Darrius kept his lips zipped, since he very uncertain of what to say.
Both angel and hunter started to talk about a boy and cocked his head very slightly with a little interest. His blue eyes blinked as he scanned Zee's belly and looked away. The immortal certainly did not see the belly round with child, but still kept his mouth closed and thoughts to himself.

"Whichever way this goes, whatever I decide, you don't get to take this kid and turn it into a pawn. If I keep this baby, if I raise it up, it's not going to be for the sake of your war." Her hand crept to her still-flat midsection, splaying protectively over it in a gesture universal to pregnant women. Castiel shook his head. "This is important. Your child is important. He will be--" "He?" She broke in, not having decided to do so and, in the moment after it happened, looking like maybe she was regretting doing it. "It's a boy?" "Yes." Clearly the angel sensed the advantage here and pressed it. "A boy. He grows up strong and intelligent, and in time he--" He stopped because a clean glass ashtray thumped off his chest. "Don't tell me shit like that! That's not fair, not to me, not to the baby. That's too much for me or it--him to have to carry." A boy. Goddamnit, a boy. Zee's eyes were shiny with tears as she tried not to think too much about that and failed miserably. "Why can't you just leave us alone?" More gently, "Because you have been seen by Heaven, and by Hell. Anonymity is no longer an option, for any of us." A tear slid down Zee's cheek, followed by another, but she stopped it there for the moment and immediately chose to blame it all on hormones. "Maybe it's not for me. But it ought to be for the baby. Anyway, you don't get to decide when I tell anybody anything, or what I do about this mess I'm in. Why don't you just--" she flung a clumsy hand out toward Darrius, "tell him where his demons that he's obsessed with are or something? Do something useful with all that omniscience."
