His mind was on defense and looking for anything that might come out charging at them or the group. Well more them really. He took a look and saw that Norah and himself were one of the last few stragglers in the very back a good five minutes away. They were at the stairs of the house while everyone else was moving onto the top level. Abiel could hear the creeks, and groins of the floor above from the added weight and pressure from actually people that the house hadn’t had in a while it seemed. As time passed and Abiel took a few steps up the stairs; He was beginning to worry that it was just him; he was reading too much into it, and his mind is just restless from not hunting in a while.
Abiel was turning to his side to tell Norah that they should caught up with the rest of the group, and not worry about anything. It was just him being paranoid, but he froze in mid turn as he finally noted that Norah was gone from his side. First pure terror rolled over Abiel and trapped him in his place better than any shackles of iron could, then confusion of where the hell Norah went, could she have been taken so easily from his side without him noticing. He took a few steps down the stairs checking for signs of any struggling but saw none, then just pure rage and anger was unlocked from him and a unearth growl erupted from his throat as the thoughts of someone having forcefully took Norah. Then Abiel heard the noise coming from the kitchen and he rushed off toward the kitchen, with his Browning drawn and his steel knife in the other right underneath his firing arming. Acting as a stabilizer to get better aim, and that was about it for the knife protection. It was silver it would do shit worth of nothing other than pissing off the ghost that had Norah. If it was a Ghost that had her anyway; What would really hurt the son of a bitch would be Iron, but Iron had the same effect on Abiel; since he was a creature himself, but the salt rocks ammo he prepared would sure pack a punch and cause trouble. Abiel kept thinking that and using the anger and rage he felt as a catalyst to drive him. He felt his pulse rise with every step of toward the kitchen. He could feel his muscles tensing, his hand tighten around his gun, along with the hilt of the knife.
He turned the corner that connected with the main hall way that was a straight shot from where he just came from the stairs. From there he hit a dining room and from his standing position he had a clear view inside the kitchen and for the second time he froze but this time for just a split second as he saw the child standing next to Norah, and it seemed Norah hadn’t taken notice yet. Abiel rushed forward his gun still trained on the entity but he didn’t have a clear shot but he knew he was going to have one soon. “Norah move now!!” Abiel roared his voice booming shaking the house and he was surprised that even the Ghost jumped at the force of his voice, but he didn’t let that show, nothing was shown on Abiel’s face other than the other desire to protect Norah and of course the rage that was being held only by a hangnail of self-control, but that was soon changed as the spirit eyes went from shock, and fear, to utter boredom and Abiel felt a chill run through his spine as the child spirit tilted his head to the side and Abiel felt the room he was in him go silence and soon he was thrown across the room, like he was on an invisible choker and his master just yanked it back. Abiel’s weapons were gone from his hands before he impacted on the wall and felt the force of the spirit’s power as it pressed down on him starting add on the pressure. This wasn’t the first time Abiel was thrown to a wall by a telekinesis’ attack and probably wasn’t the last one, but this was the first time that it was by such force, and power. Even a red eyed demon couldn’t match the punch that this kid had. Abiel was beginning to believe that Norah and himself were in more trouble than he original thought. So his next moves were going to have to be smart, and well calculated, because it might just be his last.

No, sweetheart, shhhh." Norah turned to where the baby ghost stood, she opened her arms to it and the not-a-child went to her happily. Whether the ghost was actually powerful enough to be substantial or whether Norah's spirit-clouded mind just thought he was, but she hugged him to her, petted down the flyaway brown hair. "Shhh, sweetheart, it's all right. I've got you." She kissed one chubby cheek and a shiver moved down her back. "So cold. Poor love, you're freezing." All of a sudden the redhead seemed to lose interest in the door she'd been so desperate to open, the last bit of her mind that knew what was really going on here subsumed in the will of the dead toddler. She lifted the baby in her arms, cradled him against her chest and lay her cheek on his hair. "It's all right now, baby. I've got you." She seemed to be trying to warm him up, wrapping her arms tightly around him and cuddling him close as she kissed his hair and started to sing an old Welsh lullaby to soothe him. "He's so cold, Abiel." She didn't look up from the baby-who-wasn't in her arms. "Something dreadful happened to him." She ducked her head to kiss the ghost's forehead and went back to singing to him. In his eyes he could clearly see that she was holding no child. Her arms were empty as they could be but positioned if they were holding such a child, nuzzling it in her arms, and singing a lullaby to such child, and when she spoke to Abiel. Her voice seemed far, far away in her own world or in truth the ghost standing next to her still giving him the stank eye. Abiel didn’t know if it was time or the added pressure that the ghost child thought would be enough to make a man pop, which would be true if Abiel was a average joe off the streets, but he wasn’t. He was an three thousand year old immortal Phoenix who was now feared for Norah safety.
“Norah listen to me, it’s not really, whatever your seeing, feeling, it’s not real, none of it. Norah remember you and I came here to this haunted house as the finishing act for the tour. You got to remember, Norah listen to me, LISTEN TO Me SNAP OUT OF IT!!” Abiel roared from the frustration of not doing a better job of protecting her from this type of situation, but this was no time for beating himself up. From the looks of things Norah was in her own little world still, she might not have heard him or it might be delayed reaction to what he said, whichever the case.
The ghost child seem to have had enough of Abiel’s antics and now taken a position right in front of Abiel’s body that was pinned to the wall and started to increase the pressure on Abiel’s body and he swore he heard a few bones pop and snap. This pain that was radiating through his body wasn’t new. Abiel has had bones, limbs, organs, snapped, twisted, popped, and a few occasions plucked from his body, and out of all those experiences Abiel learned to use his screams well, and that’s what he did. He let one hell of a wail loose; it sound like no man every could scream unless in extreme pain, more like an animal dying of the most painful and excruciating way. Abiel held the note for a while before his head dropped his chin resting against his chest.
The boy’s chubby, dirty face smirked and light up a bit as he faded in, and then out to stand a closer to Abiel’s body. He lifted Abiel’s head to see a smirking smile on the phoenix’s face that changed to pure pain and suffering not from, the ghost adding pressure or the pain of his broken body, but from the Iron rod he ripped from the houses’ walls and swung right through the ghost boy’s body before the wicked soul could defeat itself in a ghostly way or fade out then back in a safe distance away from Abiel. The last image Abiel saw of the ghost was that of pure shock of being struck by its kryptonite and disappeared and with that Abiel was released from the wall and dropped to the floor of the house. Abiel grunted at the force of the fall but was relieved at being released from the ghost’s grasp. The next relief was to get this Iron rod out of his damage, skin stuck hand.
Abiel had to grip the rod with his free hand and use the leather of his jacket as gloves to forcefully remove the Iron rod that the skin of his hand had glued to. With one powerful tug a new pain had blossomed and exploded in Abiel’s mind shortly taking his mind away from his healing body. He looked down to check his hand as the Iron road thudded against the wood of the house and rolled away. The burns in his hand was worse than those of third degree burn victims, but he felt the blisters, and new skin start to heal slowly, but Abiel couldn’t wait for that; Abiel forced himself to his feet and hustled to Norah’s side grabbing her arm with his good hand, not checking if she was in the trance she was stuck in earlier. He had no time to; He knew he had only a matter of moments before the ghost was back again and Abiel didn’t know if the same trick with the screaming from pain would work twice. While the Ghost thought Abiel was screaming from the intense pain from his telekinesis attack. Abiel had done several things with that scream.
One he attempted another try at arousing Norah from her trance which he still didn’t know if it would as the two rushed toward the front door. Two was try to gain the attention of the tour guide. That move was a gambit of its own for several reason that gravitated around the group stumbling upon this little ghost hunters adventure that Norah and Abiel was on, and gained the Ghosts’ attention and wrath , but more importantly checked if the Ghost had the ability to wrap the house to his own will like for instance making sure the tour group upstairs not notice the almost gore house that was unfolding down stairs in the kitchen/ dinner room, and third the last and most importantly was Abiel able to gain the Iron rod out of the house’s walls. While Abiel screamed he used his powers to turn a portion of the wall to ash and search for the Iron rod.
The scream was to cover the sound and take the attention away from the noise of the wall being burnt away. Abiel retrieved his Glock off the ground that he was forced to abandon earlier on the trip to the door as reassurance, but skidded in front of the door as the image of the Ghost appeared in front of the Door, and Abiel not making the same mistake twice aimed and his finger was halfway pulling the trigger about to unload the rock salt bullet into the ghost boy. | [atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, height: 370px; padding: 90px 30px 65px 270px; color: #767676; font-variant: small-caps;] Location: Las Vegas Music: A Drop in the Ocean - Ron Pope Ft Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, and Kanye West Outfit: Tan leather Jacket and draped it over the plain white t-shirt he wore with the necklace Norah gave him, with jeans and boots. Rocking him, singing to him, giving him the love and the warmth that he had sought in life and death both, and had found in neither. She didn't hear Abiel shouting at her, didn't notice him flying across the room. She wasn't aware of anything but the baby (her baby, according to him) who needed her love. It wasn't until she heard Abiel screaming that she realized that anything was wrong. She looked up from her reverie and saw him pinned to the wall, that agonized screaming finally broke through the fog in her brain. And when the phoenix swung the iron through the ghost, dissipating it briefly, Norah's head finally cleared fully. She let Abiel drag her out to the front of the house, but when he stopped, fired at the ghost, she tugged at his sleeve. "We've got to get back to the kitchen. It's the kitchen!" Riding far too much adrenaline to notice now little sense she was making, Norah darted away from Abiel and back the way they'd come. She ducked down mid-step and grabbed the iron bar from the floor (the end was squishy and damp, later Norah would realize that that was because it had Abiel's skin melted to it and she would vomit up everything she'd eaten in the last...ever) and jammed the end of it under one of those tin straps nailed across the coldbox. She groaned in panic and strain as she pried the first strap away, when she felt a tug at the hem of her skirt she swung back with the iron bar, sweeping it through the baby more out of luck than skill. And right back to working those metal strips out of the wall, tearing up her hands and not noticing that she was crying a little with the urgency of it all. But finally the last strap fell and the door popped open and there he was. Long ago dessicated to bone and sinew and leather, with the dungarees rotting off of him, curled up into a fetal position against the cold. Norah made a desperate, hurtful sound in the back of her throat and backed away from the so-small corpse. "Please tell me you have salt?" She was talking about heading back to the kitchen. Abiel thought she had lost her mind once more, and he would have to carry her kicking and screaming out of the house, but before Abiel could Norah took off back the way they came. Abiel curse loudly as he headed back after her, half way shouting, “We don’t have tim..” But cut himself off as he watched Norah closely as she worked on the Cold box, and for the second time thought she was under control of the child again but when it returned this time in the form Norah once saw it was Abiel guest as he saw it this time as well. She swung blindly but true and the ghost and image disappeared with a wail. Abiel felt a wave of reassurance wash over him as he noted that Norah was in control of herself, and Abiel was going to trust her judgment. Something or some thought or idea had Norah working so hard at the Icebox and he wasn’t going to stop her. He took up position right behind her but gave her enough room to work and kept his gun trained on all possible entry ways that ghost could come, and as the numbers racked up. A Shriver ran down Abiel’s back at all the angles , but kept his nerve and whenever that dirty head, of a Ghost appeared Abiel put around in him until the next time he appeared. He wanted to tell Norah to hurry up but from where he could see from the corner of his Shoulder she was doing the best she could.
After one clip full round, and Abiel almost having his heart ripped out, putrid, god awful, smell gagged and choked Abiel threatening to puke up everything his eaten today and then some rolled through and Abiel had guess that Norah had opened the Icebox and when Norah asked about the salt. Abiel took out his last clip and started to unload the Rock Salt bullets for her and searched the kitchen quickly before finding an old, wooden mettle and handed it to her. “Sorry that’s the best I can do right now and I hope I don’t have to tell you to hurry because I only have half a clip left in this one.” Abiel forewarned Norah about the quickly going ammo to the last defense that the duo had. “ But be careful Norah, and I love you,” and with that Abiel turned his attention from Norah and focused everything ounce of his being on where the Ghost might appear next.

She wasn't sure it would be enough but it was just going to have to be. She didn't carry lighter fluid, though after this she might start, but she had one of those airplane-size bottles of 151 in there for no reason she immediately remembered (later she'd recall joking around with her brothers and stealing it out of Luke's minibar but at the moment all her attention was elsewhere) and she poured that over the top. The matches didn't want to light and she was panting shallowly in panic, but finally one caught and she tossed it on the corpse, whimpering when it looked like the flame might gutter out but then it caught all in a whoosh and Norah rocked back away from it just in time to see the ghost of the toddler burn away to nothing, and the gathered faces of the shocked and appalled tour guests clumped up in the hallway. Norah dropped the iron bar with a clunk and looked up to Abiel to be sure that he was all right. As soon as she saw that he was at least stable and on his feet she started crying, hands coming up to cover her face as she struggled to get herself back under control and failed utterly. Abiel was running low on ammo and he wasn’t looking forward to grabbing another Iron Rod again and fighting with the Ghost in that manner, but he would if he had to if he had to protect Norah. For Norah Abiel would do anything including putting himself in the most horrific pain as possible, but as the Ghost disappeared then faded back into the kitchen charging Abiel from different angles; Abiel took another risk. After the last round he fired off Abiel quickly unloaded the Gun and after fighting with the clip for the rock salt rounds. He threw the ammo on the ground and stomped on the metal casing; releasing the rock salts that were sealed inside and spread them in a make shift semi-circle around Norah and himself.
Then right on cue the Ghost boy was back rage written all over his ghostly expressions as he charged from the dining room toward Abiel and Norah and the Salt line Abiel created as a last line of defense and just wished that it would hold for Norah to finish the job; If not Abiel was about to put his ability to the test if he could really turn anything he touch to Ash, but Abiel was never able to put that theory to the test, right before the Ghost child collided with the salt line that a child with ADD could make better. He went up in ashes on his own and in his place Abiel was staring at that of the tour group that had finally made it back down the stairs, missing the entire ordeal. Abiel didn’t know if they knew or heard the struggle take place right under their feet or they were just wrapping up the tour. Which every the case Abiel didn’t care as they applauded for the two and Ms. Don recovering from her shock of seeing a real life Ghost herself even if she believed it or not, and took the tour’s attention from the duo that were a mess of their own. Abiel wanted to collapse right there and not move or go on another Hunter for a while, but he knew Norah needed him. He heard her cries and fought the urge of his legs being taken out from him. Abiel draped his arm over Norah’s shoulder and buried her in his chest to allow her to let it all out. Abiel placed his Browning back in its place, hidden in his jean’s waist band and under his shirt and jacket. “It’s okay Norah, it’s over.” It was all Abiel could say to cox and bring Norah back from the edges that threaten to take her. When Norah was ready and Ms. Don and the rest of the group already headed back to the Carriage, Abiel stuck close to Norah’s side all the way back to their carriage holding her as much as possible during the long trip back to let her know he was here and everything was alright, and the only thought in Abiel’s mind was that he wanted to prevent this from happening ever again. With Norah, her brothers, and the rest of the crew and any misfit or child that walked into his life. Some mortals were not cut out for the life of Hunters, and this was the price was way too High for Abiel’s liking. "I'm sorry." She sniffed, wiped her face again and reached out for Abiel's hands to check the burns across the palms. "Are you okay? Tell me you are?" She lifted his hand and kissed the heel of it, then the inner wrist. "I'm so sorry, love. I don't know what was happening to me. I couldn't think clearly, all I could hear was him calling for his mother and the more I heard it the more I thought it was me he was calling and I..." she shook her head like she was trying to clear it. It felt good to let his legs, have a rest and he was even more thankful for the closed curtains that shut off the world for the tired both physically and emotionally couple. Abiel held Norah close and allowed the time to pass letting her get it all out, while stroking her head with one hand, and held her by her waist to stabilize her on his lap on the rocky ride of the Carriage. Something she very rarely got to do, because she was always the strong one, the rock for others to stand upon, and keep lifted, but during these rare times Abiel really noted how strong Norah was. How much it took to take her to the edge and come back, and he loved her for it.
“Don’t be love, you have nothing to be sorry about, I’m fine really tired but good.” Abiel reassured her with a smile as he scratched an itch that was beginning to bother him at the back of his head but he stopped when Norah reached for his hands to examine, and for the most part they were healed, only a small portion of his hands still showed the under layer of his hand where the epidermis hasn’t covered and healed back yet.
“I’ll be fine.” Abiel quickly said brushing it off with a smile as she kissed his hands and wrist. “Thank you though.” Abiel was about to ask how she was holding up as of now, but he didn’t need to he could see it written on her profile as she went over on her end on how it went down, and Abiel just shushed her and taking her head and resting it against his chest.
“You have nothing to be sorry about. Ghost are tricky entities and they all come in different shapes and sizes with their own powers. No one is blaming you, so you don’t have to keep saying sorry Norah.” Abiel raised Norah’s chin with one finger for the two to be looking eye to eye, for her to know he meant it.
“You did alright for your first hunt. This just shows what I already knew you are a very strong, both mentally, and emotionally woman. Most normal people would have lost it back there, but you didn’t you held your own, and vanquished the spirit. You did the most saving Norah, tonight not me. If it wasn’t for your quick thinking back there, the spirit would have turned his wraith on everyone. You. Saved. Everyone. Norah.” Abiel wanted Norah to believe, he needed her to believe this because it was true. She saved everyone with that last act of hers, and if she hadn’t figured it out about the child in the icebox, a lot of other people might have died that very night.
Then being reminded of the Icebox, Abiel remembered Norah didn’t leave this altercation with only physic scarring but bodily as well. Abiel took Norah’s hands into his own, and examined her finger tips and saw the bloody mess. “Even though you saved everyone. Your manicurist is going to kill you when they see this.” Abiel joked trying to lighten the mood in the in the Carriage, and with a faint smile Abiel took each finger and kissed them in the same gesture Norah did for his hands.

She spent so much time being strong and serene and sensible for all the people who needed that from her, she treasured the moments when she was alone with Abiel or, more rarely, her brothers and could let go of all the masks and admit that she really was just a teenaged girl from the suburbs and that sometimes, a lot of times, this world of gods and monsters was just more than she could handle. She rested her head on his shoulder and smiled when he said that her manicurist would be angry. "Not half as badly as Alec's going to yell at me if I can't play tomorrow night." Some part of her mind was actually already planning around that. If worst came to worst she'd wear some outfit with fancy gloves and they could get Jereme to play bass. He knew all the songs, they'd do an extra afternoon rehearsal and he could just cover the bass line for a night or three. "Is there going to come a point when it calms down?" She sounded plaintive and she knew it, but just now she wasn't up to pretending otherwise. "Is there going to be a week when nobody bleeds? When there's no new bad dreams?" [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=valign,top][atrb=style, background: #000 url(http://i53.tinypic.com/vfks3p.jpg) center bottom no-repeat; outline: 2px solid #767676; border: 0px; width: 500px;, bTable][atrb=style, padding: 0px 20px 0px 20px; color: #767676;] Abiel chuckled at the mention of Norah’s brothers, who themselves one day will be facing something similar to this if they kept to the road they were on, and only time will tell how well those two will deal with it, and from there it would be really make it or break it, but that was some time from now.
Abiel sat there quite for some time chewing over what Norah asked of him. Would it ever be easy, would it ever slow down, and Abiel could only see one result from the life style both Norah and he lived, and it would be no point in lying to her. So after getting his ducks in a row, he let out a sigh and a tired smile that was growing on him more and more as time passed.
“I would really love to say there will be, especially if we there are wedding bells in our future and baby buttes, diapers, and house planners to deal with.” Abiel beamed kissing Norah on her shoulder and rocking her a little in his lap. When they both revealed their love for one another months ago and neither one would be going anywhere anytime soon or in the near future. The thought of making a honest women out of Norah and raising kids together has tickled his mind quite often but Abiel push those plans to the side because just like Norah’s shows, musician career, tour, and gages, and everything else that pops into their lives.
“But that is if it was only me, but you have Bishop, Ki, Sam, John and all the other Hunters and Creatures come and go in your life. It might be a cold season for one of us but not all, and your self-appointed role as Mommy Bear is very surprisingly in high demand at the moment.” Abiel admitted freely talking about the good points lightly and evaluating how Norah was taking the news before going on and approving away out for her.
“You know you don’t have to take all the reasonability to yourself. We could end this little….. Hunter’s traveling mass if you want.” Abiel had started off speaking slowly with his offer to get by but quicken before Norah could cut him off to finish his piece.
“Even if it’s just for a little bit of time for you to recharge; in truth I didn’t like the idea that much. You know how I am with you and having all these Hunters and Creatures around is sooner or later going to have a splash back effect on the people that are close to them. All it takes is one pissed off Demon or Vampire that wants to make one of these Hunters you’re traveling with hurt bad, and they might target you or Luke, Alec or Miguel for Christ sake Norah. I just don’t want to see you hurt Norah, or killed amd I can’t take that Norah,” and just like that Abiel shared one of his darkest fears with Norah, something he kept on the down low, the very down low. Something he didn’t like to talk to anyone about, not even Bishop

That both options didn't, honestly. There was a part of Norah that would love to settle down with Abiel, move to San Francisco and help him run his club and play Hunter Mommy from within a nice safe setting where she could also raise children and have a normal life. And there was a part of her that sometimes wanted to take these big hulking men (and women) and shake them by the shoulders and yell at them that she was just a kid, damnit! That she shouldn't have to be carrying the weight of their secrets and fears, shouldn't be responsible for healing their lacerated hearts. But even as she acknowledged that in the privacy of her own mind, Norah was shaking her head. "I can't, love. Like you say, Mommy Bear is in high demand right now. They need us. Whether just as a cover or whether they need the ways I can help them, it's still important. They're out there risking their lives for the sake of people who don't even know they're in danger, but who's protecting them except me and a handful of others like Bobby Singer and Joan Muir?" She slid a cautious hand back over his hair, not wanting to abrade her damaged fingertips. "I just wish there was more time." A sad smile. "I shouldn't complain, but there it is. Trying to find time for the band, for the hunters, for you. It feels like the days and weeks slip by so fast." Fast enough that Norah was starting to get the first real glimmers of understanding the difference between 'human' and 'eternal'. Something Abiel was beginning to understand that she didn’t get that much from others. She always done the comforting, always the one to have everyone else open up to and dump all their secrets worries, and fears, and beginning to understand the effects it had on her. It was to him starting to show for the wear and tear of it all. “You have every right to complain Norah. Your only so young, and you shouldn’t have all of this dumped on you. No one should.” Abiel licked his lips and paused to search for some answer to her, before sighing and thought the facts might work best. “Maybe at this point and time it’s too much, and since you don’t want to drop the Momma Bear role, then I’m going to take up Papa Bear role for you and we’ll deal with things together.” Abiel offered his suggestion to solve part of the problem. Abiel has always been there through email, text message, and for the past few weeks thanks to his vacation time with the band. His been there for Norah, but now after this little sit down; knew what else he had to do for his love Norah. “We just have to look forward to the future. Lorcia can’t be on the road all of the Bands’ life and maybe then things will slow down for us. Until then we have to take things one day at a time, and maybe when every settles down, and the band isn’t on the road, and Hunters stop bustling through our door. Were we just have time for ourselves, and build on to our very small party of two. Until then we just have to deal.”

She needed this, and he was right about the fact that she didn't get enough of it in her world. The redhead wasn't weak, not by a long shot, but there was a core of softness in her that bruised easily. She spent half her time wandering around all over creation taking care of people who seemed far too burly to need it, but Norah needed taking care of too, sometimes, and was just as reluctant as those hunters and warriors to ask for it. But Abiel always knew, and it was one of the things she loved about him. He always knew when she needed someone to wrap her up and make her feel safe, and he knew how to give her that without ever making her feel slighted or undervalued or wonder if he thought she was weak. A long, happy exhale and she finally went all the way relaxed against Abiel's chest, kissed the side of his throat. "You have your own work to do, love. Your own life to live. We'll come off the road eventually and there'll be time again. And until then I'll take as much of you as I can get." Abiel felt the Carriage start to slow, and he knew that they were reaching the end of the road for this little tour of theirs. It was a very… eventful night and Abiel was able to dawn on a little more on what Norah has been going through in the past few months, as well what she needed from him. Abiel felt he dropped the ball a little bit before when the two were talking about what Norah has been going through, and didn’t want Norah to how he felt to add onto the pile of what she was dealing with, but Abiel thought they’ve gotten through it. Abiel rubbed Norah’s back and leg and sighed deeply as he let Norah climb down off of him before reemerging into the public appearance.
“It’s a good thing you mention taking some time for me. My hands haven’t exploded your body in a while, and someone earned a well done, oiled up body massage when we get back to the Casino; for saving my life. You in?” Abiel hinted to Norah what plans he set up already for the next activate for the night, as he wiggled his fingers in front of him, before reaching for the door, and paused before opening the Carriage door as it came to a fully stop.
“In fact I’m calling in my Mommy Bear time; I’ve been collecting up the past few weeks. I have some wounds she can heal up.” Abiel winked back to Norah, both knowing full well that Abiel had no wounds that needed healing at this moment, but just gave them reason if any Hunter or family member for that moment to try to pry them apart.
