"Hey, I'm not saying it has to be this instant. I just think we should call them soon." she said, watching him. She smiled, "So how exactly do you expect us to be selfish? Sitting in the hotel room avoiding the laptop and books and all remote suggestions of research? We dont have much options in this small town. I think theres a pool hall a few blocks down from here. I could kick your ass in a game or two." she suggested. After all, I used to be a small time hussler at the Roadhouse, kicking hunters asses at any game possible. she thought.
She watched Dean for a moment, wishing she could read what he was thinking or feeling. God she hated being totally in the dark about it. She wished Sam were here so the whole thing wasnt so awkward. Moving, she got up and walked to the other side of the room, looking out the window. Anything to be away from Dean so he wouldnt see how much he wished the two of them could be together and how awkward she felt right now. She looked up at the stars through the window, loving how bright they were and how clear a night it was.

When Jo said it had to be soon Dean had to admit that he could see where she was coming from but at the same time it didn’t mean that he had to like it, after all if he didn’t want to be in contact with his family then he shouldn’t have had to have been. Yet at the same time he could see where she was coming from and how it could be seen as important as Sam and Bobby where family, despite how insane they drove him they where family and he loved them to death, he just wished that they could be easier to live with if he was being honest and he knew that it was him that was just as much to blame as them in that respect maybe more so. He could understand that he was a problem in his own family with the issues that he had but right now it was them that was the problem.
When Jo asked about what it was that they could do he had to admit that he didn’t know. Even though when he had been with Jo it had never really been hard in that they had been on a hunt or they could talk, the last time that he had seen her before today she had had been dying and he had kissed her, needless to say it wasn’t the easiest situation right now. Even though he didn’t want to really talk about it or even address it he felt that they should have done because it was a big thing and it had to happen sooner or later.
“We have to talk about something the day you died if I am being honest.” He said calmly looking up at her. “I mean, we did kiss.”

When Dean made up his mind to ask about their first and only kiss, she was surprised. She hadnt really expected him to bring it up, after all. She moved so she was laying flat on the bed, head rested on one of the pillows, and looked up at the ceiling, thinking back to when they kissed, right before she died. She hadnt been expecting the kiss then either, though she'd wanted him to kiss her long before that.
"Yeah, we kissed. You know, you almost had terrible timing. I was dying after all." she said, "Got the scars to prove it. What about the kiss do you wanna talk about exactly?" she asked, looking up at him from where she lay. She almost wished she didnt have to talk about this. it was bad enough having to look back on the memory of her own death, but Dean was right. They did have to talk about it sooner or later and she'd rather it be sooner. At least then they could get it over with. She definitely wasnt going to just hide from it the whole time. They'd both have to man up and talk at some point and if any time was good, now was the best time.
So, she laid there, looking up at her old friend and the guy she'd liked almost from the moment she'd met him and waited for his answer. Not much more she could do aside from that after all. She didnt know what to say or do right now aside from talk.

Dean had to admit that he wasn’t thinking that it was a good idea to try and talk this through with Jo but at the same time he had to admit that he had to, he had to work out where he stood right now with Jo because of the fact that they had kissed before she had died. Now that she was back it changed a couple of things, granted he and Lisa had already been going through problems but the fact that Jo was back would probably just make it worse I he was being honest, even though he liked both Jo and Lisa for different reasons he would have to wait and see what Jo thought before making his decision.
When Jo spoke Dean could tell that she was perhaps just as confused as he was right now and that she didn’t know what she had wanted. Dean did know however that he had been interested in Jo over the years but it had been poor timing every time that they had seemed to meet apart from this time, yet he hoped that this would change things and there would be a chance for them to be together no matter how small it was.
“Where do we go from here?” he asked her “I have to admit that when I kissed you there was the fact that I knew that I had missed my chance and that I wouldn’t be able to kiss you if I didn’t there and then but at the same time now that you are back that doesn’t mean that I am expecting anything from you either after all you could be interested in someone else or just not in me.”

She stared at the ceiling for a moment longer, replaying her last day in her mind, moment by moment, slowly. As she heard him as where they stood now, she sighed and rolled off the bed, standing up. Of course he'd ask that. How was she supposed to answer though? He had a girlfriend still, though he refused to talk about it. They couldnt just be together with whoever he was currently with waiting for him. And even then, she'd just been brought back from the dead. It was kind of hard to think of stuff relationship wise when you're more worried about staying alive instead of ending up back in the ground a second time. The first time was already horrible.
Walking toward the window of the hotel room, she leaned on the sill, looking outside for the third time that night. The stars were beautiful, a clear night where you could see everyone. But the beauty of the night sky didnt take away the fear that was playing with her head. The fear that she'd lose Dean, Sam, Bobby or Castiel in any possible way. They were all she had left now, and even if they werent her blood family, they were still family.
"I dont know, Dean." she said after a minute to think. She looked over at him, "You have someone waiting for you still." she commented, leaning her head against the window sill, "That kind of blocks any romantic relationship we want.. How would we start a relationship when you havent even straightened things out with her yet? Figured out what to do about it." She looked back outside, wishing she wasnt having this conversation right now.

Dean had to admit that he knew that it would be hard with the fact that Lisa and Ben where in his life but he didn’t know what to do if he was still with Lisa in that they hadn’t talked about it because of the fact that he had gone on the road again he knew that he wanted to be close to them but he doubted that he and Lisa would have the same type of relationship if he was being honest as he didn’t think that he would be able to be with her as she didn’t truly understand what he did, sure she tried but it wasn’t the same. He knew that it would be hard but he was going to try and balance everything together.
There was a time that Dean wouldn’t have cared and he would have left Lisa for Jo but there was Ben to consider, he was an innocent and he was caught right in the middle of it he didn’t want to be in the middle of it, he wanted to see his family be ok but he doubted that it would be possible. After all what had been happening with Sam things weren’t good already adding more to that would be suicide in the eyes of some to think that it would be ok and the fact that he didn’t know how well he could trust the people around him no matter how much he loved them.
“I know things have to be worked out,” He said “but the fact is if things had been ok with me and Lisa I wouldn’t have been on the road again, all I am asking is that you give me time.”

Jo sighed. Give him time? He was stuck with her til she talked to Bobby and Sam, made sure they knew about her being alive. Since Dean had neglected to call them still, who knew how long it'd take? He'd have all the time in the world to figure things out. Its not like she was gonna end up with someone else anyway. She wasnt about to date someone else now, especially someone who didnt know about the supernatural world.
Pushing away from the window, Jo headed toward where she'd hung her leather jacket up and took it off the peg, "I'm gonna go for a walk. Maybe see if I can find a demon or two.. I'm in the mood to fight." she muttered, slipping her jacket on, "If you wanna join me you can." she said, looking at him. She didnt want to know what he was thinking just then. All she wanted to do was escape for a little bit, get out of that small hotel room and into the fresh air. Maybe with him if he decided to go along with her. She wanted him to come with her, but she knew he probably wouldnt.
"You've got plenty of time to figure it all out, Dean. It isnt like I'm going anywhere." she said. She shrugged, "Til then, I dont know what to do." She watched him, leaning against the door to the hotel room.

Dean had to admit that he didn’t know what he had wanted right now, he knew that he had thought about trying to make things work with Lisa but he didn’t think that it would be easy or work well because of the fact that she was, sadly too normal, her life with Ben was something that he wouldn’t endanger by getting too close to them even though he wanted to be a part of their life he knew that he was something that he would have to try and make it work because of the fact that it would look weird if he all of a sudden stopped visiting Ben and Lisa, also he would have to talk to Lisa about what was going to happen with her, as Dean still cared for her, he just didn’t know what was going to happen with her for her to still trust him.
Dean would still care for Lisa even if they weren’t together after all she had allowed him into her home and he did like her. Yet he got the feeling that it was just something that had not been right with him and Lisa, it could have been that because their worlds had been so different what they thought would have worked actually didn’t which was disappointing. However at the same time he knew that it was more to do with him that he and Lisa wouldn’t work than her because of the fact that it was him that had the problem. He didn’t feel worthy to be at a table with Lisa and Ben because of the amount of blood that he had on his hands. When Jo said that she was going out Dean sighed. “I’ll stay here,” he said “I need time to think,”

Nodding a little, Jo sighed softly and walked out, having grabbed her knives and gun on the way. Slipping her knives into the sheaths inside her boots and the gun into the holster in her jacket, she looked up at the sky, sighing. Of course, things with Dean and Jo would never really be okay, what with her suddenly being back from the dead and Sam and Bobby and Castiel hiding stuff from them and demons coming at them twenty four seven, but it was worth a try to put in an effort for some sort of relationship right?
What Jo hadnt been expecting while walking out of the hotel room was for a couple men to jump her. Demons. The two were tall and muscular and could definitely overpower her at the time since they'd caught her off guard. The two of them each grabbed her from behind, the one covering her mouth when she'd tried to yell for help, only getting out part of her cry. Struggling against them, she tried to reach her knives or gun, but the demons grabbed her weapons before she could reach them.
One of the demons had gotten her dad's knife. She struggled more, making a fuss, kicking and trying to break free to get the knife. She didnt care right now that she was close to having her shoulder dislocated. All she cared about was getting that knife back. God, she hoped Dean had heard her cut-off yell for help...

Dean had sighed when Jo had left and he had gone over and checked the door just pressing his hand against it, however he then heard Jo call out, he had heard the shot and he could easily work out that it was Jo because of the fact that it was a voice that he had known well over the years, grabbing a gun he hesitated in the fact that he not thought of what had been out there or what they could have been doing but the fact that it was Jo out there had made him decide that he was going to do something about it.
Dean wrenched the door open and walked out of the motel and into the street and when he could see the demons he quickly raised his gun and shot one of the demons in the throat even in the distance he could tell that it was a demon because of the fact that they hadn’t done anything associated with any other creature, the one that he shot had dropped to the ground dropping a knife and surprisingly the other demon had grabbed it’s fallen kind and dragged it away. Walking over to Jo he pulled her to her feet.
“Are you ok?” he said

Jo had been surprised when Dean came out of the hotel room and shot the one demon. When the two dropped her to the ground, she grunted, having dislocated her shoulder. But at least the demon had dropped her knife. Reaching over, she grabbed the small dagger with her good hand before letting Dean pull her to her feet, "Well... Aside from a dislocated shoulder and my hurt pride, sure." she said then walked inside.
God her shoulder hurt. Walking into the bathroom, she slipped her jacket off and grabbed a couple bandages from her weapons bag to wrap her shoulder in once she relocated it. The problem was just that; relocating it. She wasnt confident that she could do it on her own, without help, but she didnt want to ask Dean to help her with something so trivial as that. It hardly mattered anyway. Bracing herself for the pain, she popped her shoulder back into place with a short yelp of pain and moved to grab the bandages. She really, really hated demons right about now....

Dean could tell that Jo was hurt but like himself she had a lot of pride and she wasn’t one to ask him for help, he had helped her to her feet because of the fact that she had fallen down and he knew that he had to help her, at the same time he knew that Jo was strong enough to look after herself most of the time but he could tell that this time it was something that she couldn’t do on her own. When she went back to the motel, Dean sighed he knew that Jo probably wouldn’t ask him for help but he would even if she didn’t ask him but he knew that it wouldn’t be long until she did ask for help,
Walking into the bathroom he could see that Jo was messing with bandages. “Need any help?” he asked.

Wincing in pain, Jo held her shoulder in place and tried to bandage it but--despite her efforts--was failing at it epicly. She did need help, but she was too proud to just ask. She hated letting her pride get the better of her, but whatever, "Well would you look at that. He's asking instead of just barging in like he usually does." she smiled through her pain at him and tried not to move her arm, "Come here..."
Despite her pride, she knew he'd just help anyway and didnt want to have to go through the process of arguing with him about it. That got way too tiring at the end of the day. So instead she just accepted it and held the bandages out to him. Though she didnt show it, she was grateful that Dean was there to help her.
