Activity Check #1
It's time for Devil His Due's first activity check! You probably all know how these work, but let's go over the basics even so.
This check opens October 5, 2011 and will close on October 19, 2011. At any time in that two weeks, please reply to this thread to let us know that you intend to keep your character(s) and continue to play actively on Devil His Due. If you have more than one character, just reply once and list all your characters that you want to keep and any that you want to drop.
If you are finding that you have one or more characters that just aren't taking off the way you want them to, or if you feel like you're just not enjoying playing on DHD, this activity check is a guilt-free, blame-free way to let a character go. We're all writers here, we all know that sometimes a character that seems awesome when you first make them turns out to fizzle in play, or that you can join a board and find that while the people are all very nice and likeable, the playing style just isn't a good fit for you. If this is the case, you can use this check as a way to thin out your character list or gracefully leave the board and nobody will give you a hard time for it.
Also, a special note to those who play canon characters. Please be aware that there is a new rule on DHD stating that anyone claiming a canon needs to be able to post in that character's open/active threads at least twice a week. Playing a canon is a huge good lot of fun, but it's a responsibility too. So much plotting in the Supernatural/DHD world requires the canon characters to be a part of things that having canons who go weeks or, in some cases, months between posts damages the game as a whole. Therefore, players who have canons we ask you to think carefully before answering this activity check. Can you keep up with posting at least twice a week in as many threads as your canon characters are in? Does your Real Life allow you to commit to being active and engaged in the plots and progress of this board? If you can't, nobody will give you a hard time for dropping the canon. Real Life is more important than RP, and nobody wants to feel like our happy pretendy funtime games are a burden and a stress for the other person to play in.
So that's it. Please reply to this thread by October 19, we will close up the check that night and post an updated character count at that time.
