Before she knew what had happened, the conversation between Dean, Norah, and Nichole was over. She couldn’t help but get the feeling that either her or Dean or both had somehow offended Norah, and before she slipped out the door she tried to give the younger redhead a ‘I’m sorry’ smile. She didn’t even know if the girl had got it or not as she noisily closed the door behind her and locked it. She hung her head slightly as she turned to look at Dean as he stood in the hallway waiting for her. She bit her bottom lip as she caught up to him where he stood, knowing full well that he would be waiting for her.
A new set of footsteps caught her attention, and she paused in her tracks. She carefully lifted her eyesight to look at whoever was coming their way, and she paused stone still. That woman slash ex-demon who hated her was approaching with some guy she had never met before. She didn’t even get a chance to say one word to her older brother about what to do with Bishop. She only remembered what happened when Sam collapsed, and her snarling at her to get away from him. Like she was the one who hurt him, like she was the monster or demon. Instead of giving into her instincts and turning around to run the other way, she couldn’t help but inch closer to Dean.
When the demon, for that is what she was in her mind, greeted her brother, she was silently grateful that he was big enough to hide her frame from anyone not looking for her. She didn’t want that demon to tell her to get away from her other brothers as well. That monster had no right to tell her who her family was and when she should see them, as she had already messed up Sam’s life the first time from when Dean was in Hell. She wasn’t going to let that harlot tell her how she should live hers.
