Now Sam needed him and he had avoided his family like the plague not something that he had intended to do but he had not wanted to be near Sam at the point that he couldn’t trust him but an injured Sam was different. When Sam was hurt all that Dean cared about in terms of what to do next went out of the window, all maturity and wanting to be the angry brother was gone and being the big brother / father like person in Sam’s life was all that mattered, they could work their problems out later. He had gotten a couple of calls from Norah on his phone which he had tended to ignore but when he had checked his voicemail and found what was up he had sprung into action. He had gotten Bobby to watch Ben because of the fact that he didn’t want to put his son into risk and that was something that Dean would always think about as the important thing in his life. Then he had gotten into the impala and rode to Nevada. When he made it to the hotel he left the most of his weaponry in the car but did take a hand gun just in case it was a trap laid out to get Sam and Dean and that Norah wasn’t actually herself. Arriving at the door he knocked on it loudly. Location:Casino Music:Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi Outfit:in template Notes:

"Jesus, Dean. You finally decide to show up?" She opened the door wider and gestured him inside, rather more urgently than made immediate sense if you didn't know what was going on around the band just then. The suite she showed him into was plush by the standards of the no-name motels that the band had been traveling in when Dean first bumped into them, though it wasn't the kind of over-the-top high-roller suite that existed on the penthouse levels. Just a nice, spacious set of rooms with Norah's presence hinted at by the row of instrument cases leaning against one wall and the open armoire stuffed full of designer dresses and Louboutin shoes as well as by the discreet salt line laid across the doorway and the telltale bulge at the small of her back that meant that she was wearing a pancake holster tucked into those skin-tight pants. She headed straight over to the wet bar and pulled out a beer for Dean and a bottle of unsweetened green tea for herself, holding the beer out to him. "Your father's not talking, he just hunts and comes back and sits with Sam and feels guilty. Adam's holding it together by the skin of his teeth and by grace of illegal antipsychotics. Nichole clings to Bishop and tries to figure out why people don't love her enough. And Letty, the doc, says that Sam's coming up out of the coma and into a 'sleep state', but he still doesn't wake up and we're feeding him through tubes." She didn't add, 'And where the hell have you been?', but the silent question hung in the air louder than if she'd just said it. too many dreamers,
LOOKING FOR THE ONES THAT LAST |
[/div] Nichole was on her way to go see Sam in her favorite outfit of jeans and a tee shirt with tennis shoes, so that she could sit with him even though he wasn’t awake yet. She of course wanted to apologize to him, and suggest that the two of them get to know one another as people and not force anything on him. She never wanted to force anything on him, just let him know that she was his twin. She was rubbish with relationships, and she knew she had to learn to go about building them. Thing was that she needed someone to show her and help her to go about doing that, but she didn’t know anyone who would be willing to help her with that. She knew she needed help in a lot of areas, and she was lost in all the helplessness she was stumbling through. There was the whole thing with Sam, her relationship with Bishop of which she had no idea what it was, she was even trying to help keep her younger brother from losing his mind, and then the inevitable meeting with her father. She has no idea on how that would turn out, but she knew she had Dean. Even though her big brother seemed to be on the protective side, even with the sensation of him not quite trusting her.
The blond Winchester walked by a window that faced outside, and she paused as something grabbed her attention. She turned toward the parking garage to be staring at a very familiar vintage vehicle parked directly in her view, and her heart started to beat a bit wildly in a mix of fear and anxiety. She had left him without so much as a word when Castiel showed up and requested that she go and get Adam, which she did. The Winchesters’ self appointed guardian angel failed to mention where to take him once she had him. But when she saw how bad of a shape her half brother was in, she just couldn’t leave him without knowing for herself that he was going to be fine. She knew he was still barely holding it together, and she was frightened to call her protective big brother and tell him what she was doing. She somehow knew that he wouldn’t approve of her plan, especially if she let it slip that she was staying with Bishop when she wasn’t needed to help keep Adam from slipping away or something. She was still trying to figure out what was going on between her and her hunter, but without knowing what she was feeling she couldn’t find something in her experience to compare it to.
Nichole had a feeling that Dean might have gone to Norah’s room, and so she rushed there instead. She made herself a promise she wouldn’t stay too long, just to see her older brother briefly and see where she stood with him for just disappearing without a word. When she reached the hallway, she saw her brother standing at the singer’s door as the redhead opened it. ”Dean!” She called out and tried to quickly close the distance between the two of them, before he could go inside the room. She also wanted to have a word with him, before she went to go see Sam. She was confused about her and Bishop, and wondered if she could talk to her brother about what was going on later when it was just the two of them. He had to admit that when Nichole nearly went in the back of him he had to be careful but he had kept the door open for his little sister, he knew that she would want to be involved in the conversation but the better question would be as she didn’t look like she had just gone shopping as to where she had been as the rules always had been when you where a man down for what ever reason then you stuck together, he would think that if his father was around he would tell them that. When Norah spoke he could tell that she was frustrated that he had taken so long to get to her but at the same time he had been more concerned with trying to save Lisa and to keep Ben safe, however he hadn’t expected that job to be so hard. When Norah mentioned his dad again Dean felt his jaw tighten and when Norah said that Nichole had been with Bishop he couldn’t help but feel the veins in his neck pulse at the anger of being kept out of the loop ran through him but he knew he was partially to blame. “Sam will pull through, he always does that kid could walk through fire and not even smell of smoke I just hope that thee is no long term damage.” He said calmly “but the more concerning thing is that my dad is running around, not that I don’t love the guy but when he gets like this the best thing to do is to stay the hell out of the way, he is erratic you think I am bad nothing is as worse as an angry John Winchester.” He said Location:Casino Music:Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi Outfit:in template Notes:

Not that she hadn't mentioned all the important points over the course of the thirty or so voice mail messages she'd sent him in the days since Nichole and Adam's arrival and Sam's collapse, but in all fairness that was a lot of information to sift through, assuming he'd even listened to all the messages. Better to lay it all out at once. And so she worked to get a good grip on her temper as she went to the wet bar and found a soda for Nichole to go with the beer and tea she'd already retrieved. Coming back to the group, Norah sort of waved everybody over to the small dining table on one end of the sitting room and passed out drinks. Once she was sure that the initial spate of greetings had happened, Norah spoke again, calmly and without that waspish note that had been in her voice earlier. "I've been keeping an eye on your father, the best it's possible. Which has tended to be by making sure that when he goes off on hunts it's usually with a partner. Not always, but mostly. That and providing a bit of a bulwark between him and the people who want to talk about his feelings. John just doesn't strike me as the 'hug and cry and learn and grow' type. So I keep him supplied with booze, hunting partners, access to Sam, and a bit of space from the clingy types, and that's the best I can do." "Sam, like I said, is coming up out of the deepest of the coma but not consistently responding to stimuli. I called in a friend of mine, a doctor named Violet Halvoni who has roots with the hunters, she's been treating him. Which is mostly monitoring his condition, keeping him hydrated and monitoring his total parenteral nutrition. Castiel says that the coma is a result of the Wall in Sam's mind coming down," a moment after she said it Norah wondered whether Nichole had known that. She wasn't sure. There were so many people to keep track of, monitor, things were bound to slip through the cracks now and then. "And so we've been trying certain metaphysical treatments too. Things that stabilize and settle the mind, like that. Letty's got some experience with crystal therapy, which either does or doesn't work but certainly isn't harming him any." She finally opened her bottle of tea and took a swallow. "Adam's here, Nichole's a better judge than I am of how he's doing, but he's just about minimally functional. He walks around with a pharmacy in his backpack, takes God knows what every couple of hours, but he hasn't collapsed so far and maybe that's all anybody can ask for." "And," Norah finally had enough of the story to know this wasn't going to go over well, "Ruby's here. Human, resurrected by an angel. She's stuck like glue to Sam's side, has been since before all this, nobody else can get much out of her except this one guy she's attached to." She took another swallow of her drink to give Dean time to process all the information she'd just tossed out there. too many dreamers,
LOOKING FOR THE ONES THAT LAST |
[/div] Nichole slipped into the room, really close behind her big brother, and then took a look around the place. It was different from the room the two of them had talked in over Sam’s prone figure, but it was spacious as well. Sam had seemed to gulf up the room with his presence, even if he wasn’t conscious and she suddenly realized that she was still intimidated by him no matter what state he was in. He did after all threatened to shoot her during their first meeting. But there was only two people that she feels completely safe with, and she was with one of them right at that moment. So of course she was sticking to him like glue, and if one were to stop and think about it one might consider that to be a bit unhealthy. But of course, she was still a child in many ways as well and needs to learn. She was close enough to feel the anger roll off of him when Norah mentioned their father and then again as the red head said that her and her hunter had been spending time together. She couldn’t help but let her eyes close and curl her hands into tight fists, wondering what he was going to do.
She sat down at the dinning table next to Dean, and sipped the soda that Norah had gotten her after she chained an locked the door behind them. She listened as the red head gave a rundown of what happened since her and Adam got there, and only nodded her head here and there in agreement with what she said. She after all did not have anything to contribute to that subject, as she was just a stranger, an outsider, looking in on it. In reality she had no idea what to do to help, and in reaction to those thoughts her hands gripped the soda bottle until her knuckles were very white. When the young singer mentioned Adam, she nodded her head again and took a sip of her soda before she gave her evaluation of her half brother. ”Adam didn’t have a wall when he came back, so he remembers everything that happened to him and Sam. He seems barely here in this reality, and hanging on to whatever he knows as being sane. He told me that the black market antipsychotic and the other stuff he has helps him stay focused on this reality, and well he even confessed to me that I help too just by being there with him and holding him…” She knew that she might have just told her big brother that their half brother was insane, but she didn’t care. She was going to make sure he was going to be fine before she left his side, no matter what Dean thought. Then Norah mentioned that woman who didn’t like her around Sam what-so-ever, and she ended up looking down into her half drunk soda. She filed the name, Ruby, away for later.
Nichole shrank back slightly from what Dean’s reaction was to that news, and she was suddenly wishing she was with Bishop instead. Heck, she’ll even take sitting alone by Sam’s side than face what her big brother would do if he saw the woman… TAGGED: Dean/Norah/Open(Palooza) WORD COUNT: 549 NOTES: Trying to avoid any confrontation. However it had not been until they had met fighting croats again that he had remembered that fact. The fact that Sam had made an improvement was something and that was the most important thing. “Thank you for contacting the doctor, this is something completely new to us and we don’t even know how much damage that damn wall in his head will do but if you hadn’t been here his body could be a lot worse.” He said when Nichole spoke of Adam Dean had to admit that he had not given much thought to his half brother coming out of the pit but the fact that he had not had the block in his head meant that he had remembered every part of hell, just like Dean had either way it would not be good to be in Adam’s head right now. “I will talk to him, whether he likes it or not because let’s face it four people in this state we trust have been to hell, one is Adam, one is in a coma and the other is probably in a bar right now the last person that having been there being me. I just need you to get him to talk to me Nichole, maybe if we go to a diner or something?” He knew that he was taking a shot right now but he would be able to help Adam then he would try because he did love his half brother as much as he could and he had not wanted to bring him into this. When they said that Ruby was back his jaw tightened and the ever present gun that was in his jacket was pulled and placed on the table. “I am going to say this once, until I hear it from not to sound possessive but my angel I don’t trust her, the last time I did we ended up with a frigging apocalypse.” Location: hotel Music:Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi Outfit:in template Notes:

Norah felt kind of helpless about Adam, she just couldn't do a whole lot for him. He was a great kid and all, and she felt horrible for what had happened to him, but her ability to help was minimal. She could help snap him out of it for an hour at a time, by putting her whole attention on him and easing him up out of the prison of his memory, replacing it with other things for a while. But Norah simply didn't have the time to devote to taking care of Adam in the longer term, and she wasn't the one he needed anyway. The boy needed his family, and no matter how fond Norah was of the Winchesters, she wasn't their family. She shook her head. "I'll be honest, I don't love having Ruby around myself. Once I finally got somebody to tell me her story, which took a full week until anyone would deal straight with me about her, I'd have dumped her out of the caravan except that Sam was clinging to her. She hasn't caused any trouble or don't anything wrong at all as far as I can tell, so I've..." she sighed, looking very tired for a moment, "I make sure she's never in the room alone with Sam. I don't think she's noticed it exactly, there's always people traipsing in and out, it's rare that anyone is in there alone with him for longer than an hour or two. I keep a vague eye on her relationship with the only other person she seems to care to talk to, a guy named Christopher that Castiel wished on us. Other than that, I haven't felt like there was anything I could do about her, not until you and Sam were able to make a decision about things. I lack information." too many dreamers,
LOOKING FOR THE ONES THAT LAST |
[/div] Nichole sat there, not really having anything to add to this conversation but her information on her half brother. She couldn’t help but feel somewhat connected to him in the sense that she really didn’t feel as if she belonged with her family, not really having any bond with her brothers. Just like Adam, besides Sam. They after all spend some time together in the Cage. So the blond half angel Winchester was currently feeling a little out of the loop. She felt like she didn’t belong with any of her brothers, and her father isn’t talking to her…yet. She wasn’t even sure if he would, as for all she knew he just might do what Sam so desperately wanted to do and send her back to heaven with a bullet into her head.
She came back to reality when Dean spoke. He wanted her to get Adam to meet him, and talk to him. She bit her bottom lip, as she remembered what her half brother told her when she showed up at his hotel room the other day. She knew she was going to have to work hard on this request, but she couldn’t make any promises. ”I’ll try Dean, but I don’t want to force him to do something he isn’t ready to do just yet. He was quite evident upon not ready to deal with you. But I will ask him and see if I can convince him to meet you somewhere, but I do think it would be a good idea to have me there as well. Just to prevent an incident…” She answered her brother’s request, knowing that with her near Adam, there would be a lot less chance of a panic attack. He did of course tell her that she helped anchor him into this reality…
Nichole listened to Norah speak about Ruby, and she couldn’t help but feel a pang of hurt mixed in with guilt when the other girl mentioned that Sam was clinging to the one who had greatly betrayed him the most in her mind. The young Winchester didn’t make any false promises, and then misled Sam into letting Lucifer out of his well deserved prison. All she did was show up, state that she was his sister, and then argue the fact with him. She didn’t have any pretenses involved, but still Sam would rather spend time with someone that had greatly hurt him once than work through familial problems. She also wondered what Sam had told the little tramp about her, as she had gotten the feeling that the ex-demon didn’t like her from the way she had demanded that she get away from her unconscious brother. Then there was the way that the woman kept looking at her while they had tried to get prepared for the demon hunting… She involuntarily shivered at those reactions, somehow knowing that if given the chance the hussy would actually kill her… TAGGED: Dean/Norah/Open(Palooza) WORD COUNT: 492 NOTES: Feels like she doesn’t truly belong with the Winchesters… [/div]

He didn’t trust her in the slightest so the fact that she was around worried him. The demon or former demon had been very influential on Sam. Even though Dean had not been around a lot when she had gotten her stranglehold on Sam, Dean also felt guilty for the fact that because he had not been around to be able to protect Sam because if he had been more about wanting to save himself from hell in the beginning he might have found a way to do so. He also had to admit that Norah had seemed to be running a pretty tight ship in keeping Sam looked after and he had to thank her for that because if it had not been for her then it might have been someone like Ruby looking after him and he would not have wanted that because he didn’t know if Sam would have woken up with a demon in him or not because of the fact that then he would have to fight his brother again. “All we need is to monitor him and make sure that he is safe, I can guarantee that he will be fine I have never seen him not pull through trust me,” he said “Ruby on the other hand, leave it to me.” Location: hotel Music:Wanted Dead or Alive by Bon Jovi Outfit:in template Notes:

[/div] Nichole wasn’t really paying much of what was being said, she was more focused on what her and Norah’s talk was the other day. So far she was only seeing the best option for her was with Bishop, as but she also felt that she need to take care of Adam as well. Keep him focused and centered somewhat, but she also knew that he couldn’t give her what she needed. Dean could, but she knew he would be overprotective of her about it. She was suddenly wishing that this worked like it did in heaven, were the winged pricks made these decisions for her. But it wasn’t, and she needed to decide on her own. This was so freaking hard… She was scared she was going to screw this up, and not get a chance to eventually get everything what she wanted in the end. She knew that if she chose right, then she would be able to do so with hard work. She wasn’t afraid to work at it…
Norah mentioned taking Dean to see Sam, and she got up to her feet. ”I was just on my way to sit with Sam when I spotted the Impala. I thought that I should face Dean before seeing how Sam is… And perhaps request a private conversation with my big brother as well…” She said as she looked from first to Norah and then to Dean, as she made her motive for seeking Dean out and perhaps intruding upon what was more likely a one-on-one between the younger girl and her brother. She suddenly decided that she could use this conversation as a way to test where her relationship stands with Dean… TAGGED: Dean/Norah/Open(Palooza) WORD COUNT: 283 NOTES: She really had nothing to add here, just why she had showed up and where she was going… [/div]

Dean had to admit that he had not thought that he had been wondering what had been going on but as Norah had been running a tight ship but at the same time he knew that he would deal with Ruby because of the fact that he had known her longer and he knew how to deal with her. Not that he didn’t trust Norah but he got the feeling that it would have to be him that got rid of Ruby in that she would not listen to anyone else and he didn’t give a damn what Sam said, he knew what was best for Sam. He had let his brother down before now in that he had backed off as he was unsure to trust him and now Sam had gotten hurt, well he was not going to make that mistake again.
“Trust me, the Ruby problem will cease to be a problem, demon or not I do not trust that woman and I am not going to trust her especially when Sam is in the state he is in, no one gets in that room without my say so agreed?” he said. When Nichole said that she had wanted to talk to him and Norah offered to take him to Sam, Dean decided that he would take the easiest way around it so that everyone would be happy. “Nichole can take me to Sam so that she can tell me what is up.” Then he stood and left the room waiting for Nichole to catch up.

If there was somebody who got to make that call, it was John, who'd at least been here and had been seeing what was going on) and walked out of the room without another word, Norah didn't bother to protest. What would it matter? She waited until Nichole had trotted off after Dean and closed the door after the pair of them, threw the lock and then said quietly, "Sure, no problem. You're welcome for taking care of both of your responsibilities for weeks now." She shook her head and went out to her balcony to call John and let him know that his last wayward son had finally deigned to arrive in Vegas. Tonight as a discussion had been going on in a room not too far away from where she was, about her, she was again being temped away from Sam’s sickbed by a pair of clear blue eyes. It was a temptation she could not say no to since it was a task she had asked Christopher to take on. She hadn’t really eaten all day and the words ‘french fries’ had been used to further entice her from the depressing room, although truth be told all that was really needed anymore was Christopher taking her hands into his and her name on his lips, it really surprised her how bad she had it. So once again she gathered up his hoodie and pulled it on, walking out of the room in protest, one she really didn’t mean, and as soon as she hit the hallway she relaxed, taking a deep breath. “We have yet to go on that roller coaster you know.” Yea, it was still in the back of her mind, the idea of feeling the wind in her hair and seeing the strip blaze by as she soared quickly across a thrilling ride. Truthfully in all her years on earth it was the one thing she’d never experienced that she’d wanted to because a demon riding a rollercoaster, well that was just silly wasn’t it? Now she didn’t have that hang up anymore. Turning to move down the hallway towards the elevators she opened her mouth to say something else, her hand moving to Christopher’s to grasp it when she saw a familiar face standing outside Norah’s door. It stopped her in her tracks, her murder, Dean Winchester. The feeling of relaxation faded from her and she stood up just a little straighter, the image of the confident woman she had been from years past, a twinge of fear was all she allowed to pass through her dark eyes as she moved just a step in front of Christopher, a telling stance that would tell the elder Winchester all he needed to know, that the man with her was important to her and she’d defend him. “Dean.” Yes, that was all the greeting he’d get from her.
