He was feeling a like drinking. Everyone had gone out recently. Zaza had been holed up in the truck for days now, mulling over some new piece of information. Flynn was working on the truck again. And his Louis had left on some secretive mission. Henry knew how much his brother hated secrets, so the fact that he was keeping one himself was frustrating to the elder twin. Since everyone seemed so busy, he had decidedly pulled is motorcycle off the bed of the truck and taken off to do a little soul-searching. Or, at least that's what he'd mumbled when Flynn had asked. He took a pull from his beer, eying the other customers and kind of wishing someone would explode into man-eating monster. Just so he had something to do. Wouldn't it be amusing to go back to the others with some story about how he had single-handedly taken out a nest of vampires after being ambushed? Hadn't Flynn just last week returned from a simple diner run with injuries stemming from a wraith attack? It could happen. When everyone in the bar remained as normal as late-night bar regulars can be, Henry deflated and turned back to his drink. Nothing to kill, his brother was off doing who knew what and he'd been left to his own damn devices. It was so much easier when Louis was around. And that was probably why Louis was pulling away. "Dammit...There's gotta be something to do around here other than mope like an idiot." He sat up again and this time Henry noticed something that stuck out like a sore thumb. What appeared to be a kid, looking a little younger than himself, had entered the bar. The hunter focused on the skinny guy, half-hoping he'd go nuts and start killing everyone. Disgusted with himself, Henry turned his back on the odd young man again. "If I wasn't a hunter, I'd be an evil bastard." And like a man) said mildly as he stepped up to the bar next to Henry, ignoring the fact that there was no way that he could have heard the statement. "Though I don't think you're evil. Mostly bored. Gin and tonic with a lime."
The bartender presented the skinny kid in the tee shirt and pegged jeans with suspenders with a credit card reader, the boy ran what looked for all the world like a business card through it, but the machine beeped happily and the bartender mixed up a drink and offered to hold open a tab. Once he'd taken a swallow of his drink, Jophiel looked back at Henry and smiled at him. "So the question is, what are you actually looking for tonight? A fight? A hunt? To get a drunk on and have an adventure that your brothers and sister miss out on? Identify your needs."

He hadn't expected the skinny guy to say something. Then again, he hadn't thought anyone had heard his little comment. When he thought about it, Henry came to the decision that the guy was right. Hunting and evil weren't necessarily separate things. He'd met plenty of hunters who'd let the things they hunted consume them. Hell, he'd watched his father gun down his best friend because of just such an issue. If you didn't die in the business, you went crazy. Or something. Henry eyed the kid next to him, his first instinct was to get suspicious. "There's a lot of things I'm looking for. None of which you'd really be able to assist me with." He paused, reevaluating what the kid had said. "I think you've got me mixed up with Farmer Jack over there, I don't hunt." A cheeky smirk curved his lips, filled his eyes with amusement. "I could use a good brawl, though." The last of the kid's words caught up to his brain and Henry automatically wrapped a big hand around the male's narrow throat. "What do you know of my family?" His beer forgotten, the mirth erased, he was all intense anger. "Who the hell are you?" "Simmer down, big guy. I'm not going to hurt your family. I am a strictly benevolent force on this earth, and not at all interested in your manly body, though I'm sure you're a monster in the sack." He smiled at Henry just as though they weren't in the first stages of felony assault.
He eased his throat back away from Henry's hand. "My name's Joseph. Or at least that's a good enough name for a bar full of normies. And you're Henry Koch, and I could tell you a whole bunch of things to prove how knowledgable and clever I am. But that's kind of counterproductive to the whole getting to know you thing, as it'd just piss you off and make you resentful. So how about you let me buy you a drink and we'll go out onto the patio and find a quietish corner where I can grab a smoke and we can chat in peace?"

He still didn't trust him, but killing him, or attempting to, wouldn't get him very far. More than likely, he'd be put behind bars and his family would get angry again. "A benevolent force. Which means you're not entirely human. Humans don't generally refer to themselves as 'forces'." He was probably being thick headed, but he didn't particularly care at that moment. He frowned down at the shorter male. "You want to chat? You're joking. You just said you know all these fun facts about me. If you already know everything there is to know about me, then why do you want to get to know me? Mr. Force, you're not making much sense." He'd kept his voice low, but there was still the edge of a threat behind every word. "I don't like the thought that you know about my family. So, let me put my own proposal on the table. Don't go near my family. End of story." With that, he casually flagged down the bartender, collected a beer and led the way onto the patio. Finding a table that had been pushed into a little nook at one end of the patio, he sat down. "What did you want to chat about, Joseph?" He seemed perfectly cordial, but there was anger simmering just beneath the surface. "I want you to get to know me. We're going to end up working together whether you like it or not, but it'll be more comfortable for you if you've gotten all the aggression and stubbornness out of your system first."
The thing about leaving his family alone just made Jophiel grin a bit, but he didn't comment on it. Just got a gin and tonic and followed Henry out to the patio. As soon as he sat down he lit a cigarette and sighed happily. "I cannot believe they banned smoking in bars. Insane. Nicotine and tobacco just go together." He took another happy drag and then asked politely, "Would you like to threaten me some more? Demand some answers? Size me up to decide whether you can take me? I'm a patient man, I can wait while you get that kind of thing out of your system."
