I can feel you, all around me.
She was in yet another new town surrounded by a bunch of strangers but this time it wasn't another foster home. Everleigh was just hitch hiking and wandering. After all of the “coincidences” that have come into her life lately the child was just running from all the weirdness. First coming across a hunter hunting down a demon in a grocery store in Minnesota then running from an abusive foster home and finding another hunter, Margo, on some road in the middle of nowhere. Margo took her to a safe house started by a man named Pastor Jim. Everleigh ran from there after getting the “itch” to move again and ended up at Bobby Singer's salvage yard...yep, yet another hunter. And to make it weirder Bobby knew Pastor Jim's. The child had no clue how or why she kept ending up meeting all these hunters but it was freaking her out, especially given her own “gifts.” Everleigh is an empath and a psychic. Not that she told anyone that though. She has yet to share her secrets with anyone.
This particular night though, Everleigh just wanted a break. She wanted all the weirdness and sadness in her life to go away, if only for a little while. In wandering town the child had come across a park. She was delighted. She hasn't had a chance to just play and be a child in such a long time. She looked around cautiously at first but didn't see anyone else around, not that she expected to at ten at night. Once the child was sure she was alone she ran through the park entrance and right over to the swings. It had always been her favorite thing to do when her father used to take her to the park when he was alive. She smiled at the memory as she swung higher and higher. She was completely oblivious to anything around her as she lost herself in her play. She just was enjoying the freedom of being a child at the moment.

The almost 300 year old immortal stepped on the cement as his blue eyes stared around him. He saw mortals going on their lives. His was much different then the others, he is ageless and have an ability to send people and items into ashes. He blinked as he walked over toward the park. Its green grasses entice people to sit on its cool surfaces. He can make out about twenty laying on blanket or towels in the grass.
The phoenix kept walking until he came up to the swing set. He saw a girl swing and watched her patiently as she is swinging higher and higher. He then stared around again as he ruffled his blue shirt and light, blue jeans. The supernatural smiled as he turned to his attention to Everleigh.
He leaned on the swing set's pillar and sighed softly. "Looks like your have a fun time, madam." he said with a smile playing on his soft lips. He turned to Everleigh and met her eyes with a friendly and soft gaze.

The little girl looked over at the man standing by the swings and smiled a bit at him. Yeah, I like it here. She had no idea how else to answer the stranger but she watched him a bit as she was swinging. He didn't seem to be there with anyone and it was strange for someone else to be there at this time of night. Still she thought that maybe it was that he just couldn't sleep and wanted to wander.
He was attractive, even a little ten year old girl could see that. Still she kept swinging. She was pretty high now as she looked out over the rest of the park. She could see all the other attractions in the park: the slide and merry-go-round and monkey bars. Her attention went back to the man by the swings and she bit her lip a bit. She felt that she should talk to him a bit since he was just standing there and seemed to be alone. So you're hear all by yourself? She asked. She didn't know what else to say to him so she went back to looking around the park as she was swinging. There was a light breeze in the unusually warm night for fall. Everleigh could see the trees blowing lightly around her. She could also hear sounds of night animals buzzing around her. She loved the quiet of the night. It was comforting in a way. She let herself slow down a bit so she wasn't going so high anymore but was still swinging steadily.

Darrius breathed in the cool air that met his face as the wind kept it cool. Darrius's blue eyes blinked as he listened to the young woman. "Yeah, it does seem that you like it here. I would like it here as well, if I am during my young years." he told Everliegh politely. The phoenix fiddled with a foot for a second as he kept his fingers in his jean's pockets.
Darrius then smiled as her the young woman's question. "Ah, your a curious one." he said with a friendly chuckle. He then sighed through his nose as he thought of how to answer her. "Well, I came out for a stroll. I always take a stroll out in the cool part of the day. It tends to calm when I am angry or frustrated." the creature said politely. He then smiled at himself as he looked around again. The immortal saw a bench nearby and walked over to it to sit down.
"So, are you out here for a reason? Or just to play?" he asked the young woman politely. "Also, do you know that you should have an adult with you or phone with you since kidnappers tend to walk this park? Oh, you don't need to worry with me. I am just a stroller and I tend to help others then the opposite." the immortal said to Everleigh.
[style=padding: 15px; font-size: 0.7em;] Status: Done Notes: He wants to sound safe, polite and protective. Darrius will do anything to help or save Everliegh if he needs to do it. (You can have her touch him at one point. She wills see his past which is his parents dieing.)

Yeah I was out for a walk too but then I saw that park. I haven't been to a park in ages. She grinned at the man. It was nice to talk to a grown up that was nice to her from the start. Most were suspicious of her or grumpy lately. This guy seemed nice and friendly.
Everleigh watched him walk over to a bench nearby and sit. Instead of it feeling weird that some stranger was staying closer to her Ever felt a bit safer. With her empathic ability she can tell that he's not a threat to her. In fact, he almost felt protective for some reason. She gathered that it was probably because she was a kid out alone in a park at night. I'm just here to play. It's a nice night and I'm not tired. The little girl started swinging more steadily again but frowned with a bit of concern at his comment about the kidnappers. Kids have been kidnapped from this park? That thought really freaked her out and she let her swinging come to a stop suddenly, debating on leaving the park. But then that wouldn't help at all since she didn't have a place to go. She guessed that it wouldn't make much of a difference if she stayed or left. She would still be outside either way. Everleigh shuffled her feet in the dirt under her feet lightly, biting her lip and thinking about to respond to his comment about her being out alone. Yeah the battery on my phone died so I left it at home. It was a complete lie since Ever was homeless but she didn't think that would be a good thing to tell this man that she just met.

Darrius nodded when he heard the young lady talk about the feeling to go to the park. He understood the young woman's interest. "I understand, but I do miss the feeling of wanting to swing or play on the playgrounds." he said politely with a soft sigh.
Darrius nodded, "Yes, it is a nice night to enjoy some play for kids. Do you mind if I stay here with you?" he asked, as he scanned the surroundings. The immortal will be willing to watch over Everleigh who can play out her heart. He leaned onto the swing set as he watched the psychic who swung up and down. His blue eyes blinked, as the moon light met his blond hair and sort of made it glow a bit.
"Okay, your phone died. You can use mine, when you need it." Darrius offered politely, before watching the stars as he listened to his surroundings. The immortal waited as he knew that they are being watched his surrounds warily.
