It's been one year since Tohru accepted Kyo for what he was, loving him no matter what form he took. It was the next day the Sohma's realized their curse was finally broken and they could be free to do as they wished. Of course there was one person who was not so happy, Akito brooded in the main house angry now that the family was no longer under his thumb.

Tohru, Yuki and Kyo now graduated began to talk about college and their futures. But one rainy night as Tohru left her work to meet Yuki and Momiji, a car came out of nowhere and hit her. The figure that stepped out of the car and stood over her, uttering words of hate than turned and left her. Yuki and Momiji found her and took her to the hospital, but they also learned she had lost her memory from hitting the road so hard.
