With so many awesome new players joining, it seemed like a good time to get a round-robin introduction type thread going, let people get to know one another a bit in a hopefully non-threatening way. So I'll start out, and we'll see how this works.

My real name's Victoria, but I go by Briar online because I'm so old that when I first got online there were roughly nine girls on the entire Internet and choosing gender-neutral handles saved a lot of hassle and harassment and let me get on with the very important job of killing textual orcs and chiming in on BBS flame wars. (I told you I was old.)

I'm married and have a daughter named Molly who's in the first grade, she is of course the cutest kid in the entire universe and sooner or later I'll probably force you to admire pictures. I work from home, which is why I always seem to be around, though because it's freelance it's very feast-or-famine and one week I'll seem to have nothing better to do than sit around harassing people in the c-box, then the next I'll be too busy to post more than once or twice a day.

What I'm Bad at: Watching the c-box, sacrificing logic for RP convenience, playing aggressive male characters.

Hours Online: Usually between 1 PM and 2 AM my time, with holes in that for dinner, the kid doing her homework and practicing cello, etc.
Here on the Weekends? I'm usually around on Saturdays, at least for most of the day. Sundays I have a game at my house so I'm on in the morning, disappear sometime around noon, and get back around midnight.

Hello all,
My name's Fay. I started RPing when I was in the seventh grade, on a Buffy the Vampire Slayer site. I took a break during my pregnancy and throughout the first year of my daughter's life. Up until now I've never actually done Forum style RP, I'm used to IM/Cbox only writing. But I enjoy both.

I'm twenty something, old enough to have a 16 month old angel named Isabell. My fiance and I have been together for five years now and I'll be a married woman Sep 1, 2012. Which is entirely overwhelming, but exciting none the less. I love kids, and can't wait to have a house full of little feet to tickle.

Anyways, I was working a boring old desk job at a law firm, and going to nursing school, until a few months ago when I decided I wanted to be home more with the babe. I'm currently pursuing a passion of mine; Cosmetology. I hope to graduate and become licensed by December of next year.

RP Tabus: As B stated in her post, sexual violence. I won't be promoting that sort of RP in any way, so it's out of the question for my characters. I'm also touchy about telepathy, I get cranky when other characters have this power and make assumptions about what my character is thinking.
What I'm Bad at: I don't do well with children, I'm testing out Edith (who is 13) and I seem to be adjusting better than I have in the past.

-stalks in- Ohhaithere so I'm Devi, real name's Maria but I've been going by the nickname so long I'll get twitchy if someone uses the real one xD Well, been rping for like seven or so years now, admining for i dunno, five of them. I'm the big'ol head admin, this pretty place was a pet project for a few months and every now and then I'll either be fidgeting with the images or screwing around with the codes.

Righty-o I'm more single then a dollar but I work like a mad-woman, generally second and third shifts so I'm on at the strangest hours of the day, but the plan is to be back in school next year. Greetings and salutations!!

I go by many different names, Ghilledue, Foxykitsune, Ruby, Abby…but Luci (no Lucifer jokes now) is my RL nickname. First computer was a sony one you plugged into the tv and hooked up a tape recorder to and had like fifty tapes to play one stupid DOS game you thought was the bomb of all games. Yea…I remember BBS boards to on my high class Radio Shack COCO computer.

I’m married to a very tall guy who I affectionately refer to as my Moose, he in turn has been known to call me Ruby. We’ve been together for ten years now, married for eight. Yes we got married on Valentine’s Day….no I agree it’s pukingly cute.

I moved from Arizona to Louisiana in the summer of 2010 and found board RP shortly after that. I started RPing in high school, Dungeons and Dragons 2nd Edition and Elfquest. I moved on from there to LARPing with White Wolf for well over 10 years. Now I play pretty much only online.

Ships: I am open to relationships that make sense but among the cannon favorite are Sam/Ruby, Lisa/Dean, and Jo/Dean. Non cannon….well the list is as long as my non cannon PCs…..so…..you got a few weeks?

RP Tabus: Plotting with me under false pretenses, ie using OOC information ICly or setting up something with me to only toss me a curve ball. I’m good with coming up with stuff on the fly but be up front and honest with me and things will go better. Also automatically knowing everything about my charries before you actually meet them, unless you have a ligament reason to know them, makes me pissy. I am open to anything with enough advance notice when it comes to more mature subjects.

Hey everyone, I’m not real good at these things. I usually just make my intros in the chat box…

So here is the low down on moi… I go by Nichole in the box here, but my name changes to whatever first character I make on other boards. My admin name on my boards is ABBY. But my RL name is Cassie, and no I was not in a relationship with Dean (although I wish I was *drools*). The writers stole my name for that character… JK!

I am one of the older players here, as when I started to use computers the operating system was MS-DOS. I even remembered when Windows was starting to catch on, so I know my way around DOS commands. Old I know…

My first character was a dhampir for the television show, Forever Knight, and I was RP’ing PBeM via Yahoo Groups. My first canon character was Lucien LaCroix, and that was more than ten years ago… So I’ve been doing this for quite some time. My first RP forum was a ProBoards Constantine RP based on the movie, and I have been doing forum RP’ing since.

So...Hi. Um, yeah. I'm only about 13 and..my dad says I can't share my-WHO THE FUCK AM I KIDDING?! I am so awesome that everyone calls me Shini. And no one even knows why. But, because I'm such a BAMF I'll tell you why you all call me Shini. In a roundabout way, wherein I get lost on the journey and earn a unicorn. You see, I'm 21 and, where I come from, that's old for an RPer, so moving to proboards where there's a bunch of non-tweens is no much easier on my soul.

I have been RPing, online, since I was...God, I was eight, I think. Something about yahoo groups and I met a girl from Jersey and we...We were melodramatic morons. I don't even know if I remember what my first RP was about. But I started on MSNLive or whatever it's called. And I do remember Digimon. I moved there to this chat-thing that I do not remember the name of. I was on that for about a year when my dad made me close my account because the place was too sexual (I was eleven or twelve at the time).

Still RPing with the Jersey girl (whom I've kind of grown up with online), I found out about this place called Gaia. The site has a different URL from when I started there, but it was perfect. All anime-y and writer-y and stuff. I started there on lameass original plot RPs where I wrote only a few sentences and kept killing my characters. Somewhere between twelve and fifteen, I got into yaoi. And my paragraphs got more defined.

Then I joined the epitome of RPs, my turning point. A little place called WiLD CHiLD, which was ADV Lit. At fifteen, my writing exploded. I RPed there for about a year before we tried to move it to a forum type board and it flopped and everyone got busy and we lost contact. Still know girl from there too, talk to her as often as I can. I moved on, writing longer and longer posts that made less and less sense. I struggled with this for a few years and eventually decided I didn't care to write that much nonsense anymore. Around 18, I joined my first forum board. I started a forum board and it didn't take off.

I have been apart of some amazing RPs, about gods and goddesses, about vampires and really hot werewolves (I miss you Shinichi!), about canon universes. My first Supes-RP was a onexone on Gaia. That died. This past year I've left Gaia. I moved to Supes-forums and eventually found this place. Until just the last couple of days, this has been my only place. And I'm trying not to get too obsessed, like I used to.

But yes, back to the nickname. A long time ago, when I first joined gaia, my screen name was something really stupid. But, after about six months, I changed it. At this time I was obsessed (quite liteally) with the concept of Duo from Gundam Wing and I'd started reading a bunch of manga about Shinigami. My favorite number was, and still is, 13. And I came up with a concept for a character that never panned out. Shinigami means death god in Japanese. My character concept? A Shadow Shinigami....Yeah, I don't get it either. I stuck a thirteen on the end and took out the space to create ShadowShinigami13. I haven't changed my Gaia screenname since. I've watched friends go through numerous handles, but that is/was mine. My newest handle, and one that seriously speaks to me at this stage in my life, is SunshineLion. Sometimes with a 13 tacked on.

Back to the nickname. On Gaia, everyone had ridiculous handles, so we'd give each other nicknames. And, because there are always a ton of people using Shadow as some portion of their handle, people just started calling me Shinigami and then shortening it. You could basically say I have always been, and always will be, Shini online. It's simply who I am. Even if I were running with the handle SunshineLion, I'd probably offer Shini as the name I preferred to be called.

So there's my really long story about my stupid nickname. Sentimental value, people!!!

Ok so I am Dean, simply I don’t give away my real name REALLY long story that I won’t go into because it is boring. I am the right side of my teens and have finished high school and now I am actually at university which means that you might see me you might not because who knows what crazy alcohol enduced fun I will be up to . I am engaged to a beautiful if not tiny redheaded woman (she is 5’4 and I am 6’6 I am a freak get over it). We have one wonderful 8 month old daughter together called Madison who is called Madi by anyone and everyone much to the annoyance so much by her mom in the first month she now calls her Madi as well. I have been told I am the Irish Dean Winchester as I love rock music, the impala, pie and the fact that me and my brother are very Winchester like, although we lack guns.

Hola! While I'm noodling about I thought I'd do this...

I'm Siâni - pronounced like Barney but starting with a "Sh". You can usually spot me a mile off as I'm the tall girl covered in tattoos (including the SPN one of course) with weird-colored hair (currently pink). I live in a tall skinny house in the middle of nowhere with my best mate, aka The Wife. I'm a qualified animator and screenwriter but thanks to the credit crunch I have a hideously artless and stressful job because it pays really well. I plan on sticking it out a couple more years then packing up my shit to vagabond round the states while I try to write a book; then I might be looking into opening a comic shop if I can get the money together. It's all going to be a bit vague until April 2013...

I'm originally from Cambridge so I sound a lot posher than I actually am (I swear FAR too much), currently living in North East England. I'm a stone's throw from the cathedral that doubled for Hogwarts in the first Harry Potter film and a nice easy 2 hour train journey from Edinburgh when the festivals hit. I'm a biker, mainly because I love that smug feeling of filtering through traffic jams on my little Suzuki but I am learning to drive a Mini now because the winters here are insanely dangerous for anything on two wheels.

I started RPing in 2004 when I joined a brilliant X-Men board called "Deus Ex Machina". I had four characters: a snake-skinned hooker, an insane ghost-like serial killer, a geeky teleporting coward and a naive little savage girl. It was the first time I'd started actually talking to people online but it was a brilliant place to start and a few of the DEMers are still like my online family. Unfortunately the board itself died around 2009. I also dabbled in a rather silly Firefly RP around the same time, where we all based characters on ourselves in RL - I was a busker called Mabs who specialized in making glove puppets and juggling geese, take from that what you will...

I love urban fantasy, especially SPN, Hellboy & Being Human (the UK original). I've dragged Eddie to a couple of boards that all seemed to bloom, wither and die within a few months, praying I'm not the kiss of death here!

What I'm Bad at: Keeping my mouth shut/typing fingers still. I have a tendency to come up with a 1001 long rambling ideas and I either bore people or just confuse them.
