I can feel you, all around me.
The library was warm and dry, a welcome relief from the wet, cold snow outside. The child was huddled in her coat as she rushed through the doors and into the warmth. There weren't a whole lot of people around but then again it was the middle of the day on a Thursday. Everyone would be at work right now.
Everleigh stood in the lobby of the library, shivering as her eyes roamed over the rooms ahead. Where to start... Well, since this wasn't a leisurely visit she guessed she should head for the reference section. She could feel eyes on her as she wandered through the massive building but then she was used to that. She was a very small girl, even for ten years old and was used to people staring when she wandered anywhere alone. Today was no different.
Now the problem was where to start..."hunter" was probably not going to bring her the information she was looking for. The hunters she wanted information on didn't carry shotguns and wear flannel shirts...well, not all of them anyway. Maybe she should start with what the hunters are hunting. Her eyes moved over the shelves until she came to the D volume of the encyclopedia. She took the huge, heavy book over to the nearest table, which was as far as she could carry it anyway, and plopped it down with a sigh. Research was hard.
Everleigh sat herself down in a chair and flipped through the volume in front of her. "Demon" was a surprisingly long section and she was guessing this wasn't all the information on the subject either. It looked like she would be there a while.

The library was one of her favorite spots. Yin stretched as she rubbed the back of her head and sighed. She was in need of a good, long novel to hold her over and keep her from doing anything...too crazy. Yin felt an unusual need to lay low to the point where she even skipped out on parties. The bars must've missed her. Well...not in particular...Yin never paid for her drinks. She was a drink and ditch girl, or got some poor sap to pay for her. The bars probably didn't miss her too much. Her dark eyes scanned the shelves filled with romantic fiction. Her taste had shifted according to her current need, and that was to believe in love. It was a strange feeling. She wasn't sure why she needed to reassure herself of its existence when she'd obviously felt it once in her life. Actually, she'd felt it twice. The results? Both times had hurt.
Yin's fingers lightly brushed over one book in particular. This one might do. Yin snatched it and went to a table to review the contents. She didn't have a library card. It was likely she would steal it only to return it later. So, in essence, she was "borrowing" it.
Watch Ramiel throw a cow over it, she thought and rolled her dark eyes. Yin didn't know why the angel persisted on following her. He claimed to be her guardian...from what? It wasn't like she was involved in any big plots that related to the world's life in any way. She just traveled, did her thing, and rested at the end of the day. It was a good life. Yin sometimes thought the angel was just bored and needed someone to mess with. Though, over time she was slowly getting to know Ramiel. He didn't come off as that type of individual.
At the table was a young girl. Yin sat across from her and flipped her novel open. She gazed briefly at what the girl was reading about and paused.
"...Interesting choice of book."

I can feel you, all around me.
She took off her jacket as she read, not even looking up from the page. This stuff was insane! Even though Ever's seen a demon first hand she still couldn't believe the variety and descriptions and different forms they could take. It seemed endless and this book only had twenty pages of information. She was guessing that she was going to have to go through a lot more books to get the whole picture.
None of this information could tell her why she kept running into hunters though. It just couldn't be a coincidence that everyone she's met in the past month has been a hunter. But why her? Yes, Ever was a empathic psychic but, according to Wil she wasn't the only one...well, wasn't the only psychic anyway. Maybe being empathic as well was rare but still, she was ten years old. What the hell could she do to help anyone?
Everleigh was startled out of her thoughts by the appearance of the girl sitting at the table across from her. The child lifted her head and immediately snapped her book closed out of instinct. She couldn't help but feel like she was doing something wrong by looking up all of this information. After all, why would a girl so young need to know any of this? She blushed lightly and looked down at her hands before answering. Yeah...I...I was just...flipping through. That was lame but she had no idea how to explain herself.
