--*I'm not the one who's so far away*-- WHEN I FEEL THE SNAKE BITE ENTER MY VEINS (*Never did I wanna be here again*) Ben did not have the knowledge like Dean did of what could possibly be happening in his home. Thus why he had called the man he thought as a father. Truthfully speaking, even though he might have just lured him into a trap, the young boy was actually glad the older Winchester was there. At least he deep down knew it would all be okay eventually. As he sat, scared in the closet, he thought on one thing that any other kid his age might have missed. But being connected to Dean, he wasn’t just any other kid. The guy he had shot, had came straight toward him. Like the guy knew where he was or something.
“Your safe to come out buddy the house is empty.”
The 12 year old looked up when he heard footsteps approach the closet, and his hand automatically reached for the gun he has sat aside. He didn’t know who was coming, and he wasn’t taking any chances as to his safety. Even the woman talking about demons and branding in the background barely registered to him as he sat crouched in the closet. He didn’t know what the big deal was with that, but he was glad that it wasn’t the case. When he saw the footsteps come into view, he looked up before breathing a sigh of relief. He then lowered the gun, and launched himself at the owner of the footsteps.
When Ben landed, he actually did something that was totally out of character for him and clung to Dean. ”I think they were here to take me. The first guy had seemed to know where I would be…” He informed Dean, knowing that there might be a connection somehow. He made a point to not to look at the body behind the big man that he was currently clinging to as if he were a lifeline to safety.

Dean didn’t care right now if it had been a demon, was a demon or if the guy couldn’t even spell demon that didn’t matter in the slightest right now to him, the fact that Ben was ok was all that mattered and everything else was in second place right now if Dean was being honest. The fact that Ben was ok was something that Dean seen as much more important than what the man was a human or a demon after all he could have easily gotten the demon out of the man before Dean and Jo had gotten there they didn’t know how long it had been since the guy had been shot before they had got there and so long as Ben was safe that was all that mattered. When Ben quickly attached himself to Dean and spoke Dean was tempted to chew Jo out over it but he decided to leave it alone because of the fact that it hadn’t been her fault for saying it as Ben might have been thinking it whilst he had been alone either way Dean didn’t like it in the slightest and he just had to try and find what to do next. “Is there anything out of place?” he said “of your mom’s from when you first came home anything out of the ordinary?”

Jo picked her gun back up and looked around, "Dean, we should get Ben out of here before someone else shows up. There could be more of them close by." she said. She moved toward the window, looking outside for anything suspicious. Of course there could be more of them around. If they'd been hired by demons, they would have been told to stay close. Who knew how many of them there were. Sighing, Jo crossed her arms, looking over at Ben and Dean, "Someone will have heard the gunshot as well. We should get out of here before the cops arrive."
She hated having to deal with the police. Especially since even though they were trying to do good, they didnt know about the supernatural world, so they didnt know that more often than not, they were arresting the good guys instead of the bad. As normal as this little crime would seem to them and even to her, she didnt want to have to deal with them at all. It wasnt as if she wouldnt if Dean refused to leave but she'd probably be pissed afterward. Oh well.
Slowly, Jo leaned back against the wall and looked down at the windowsill. Why would someone do this? There was no sign of any demon, no sulfer. There was no sign that Lisa had been hurt, no sign of a struggle aside from the dead guy on the floor; curtesy of Ben Braeden. No blood. And there were still a few of Deans old Devils Traps set up around the house, where Ben and Lisa probably didnt know about them. So either a demon or group of demons somehow managed to hire a couple humans to do their dirty work--fat chance-- or the humans were doing it of their own free will. But even then they were lacking motive. At least if it had something to do with the supernatural they knew instantly that it was because the demons wanted to get to Dean. But they wouldnt have had motive at all if they were just doing it on their own. A random house invasion. Even that was suspicious.

--*I'm not the one who's so far away*-- WHEN I FEEL THE SNAKE BITE ENTER MY VEINS (*Never did I wanna be here again*) Ben quickly attached himself to Dean. Thinking that he was not in the safest place in the whole wide world. He remembered when Dean rescued him from that monster that took him when he was eight, and that monster took him with the other kids. When he took him out of that cage he was locked in and held him, he has the same feeling then as he does now. He knew that since the man he considers as his father was there, everything would be fine. Now that he was perhaps in trouble once more, and that the older Winchester was there again, the feeling had indeed returned.
"Is there anything out of place? of your mom's from when you first came home anything out of the ordinary?"
The boy pulled back slightly and thought it over. He tried to think if anything was askew or missing, but he was coming up blank. He looked from Dean to the lady, and then back to Dean again, not knowing how he could break this to him. "Nothing besides Mom missing." He responded to Dean's question, and then heard the lady suggest they leave. He had to admit that the lady did have a point, there could be more guy waiting nearby. He vigorously nodded his head in agreement, before trying to hide his face into Dean's shoulder. He just wanted the dead guy to go away, his mom back safe, and Dean back to live with them. But he had the feeling that is never going to happen again...

As Ben attached himself to Dean he couldn’t help but think that the young man was trying to use him as a safety blanket not that he had a problem with that but at the same time it was something that he thought that would be able to help Ben right now as they knew that they could make sure that Ben was safe and possibly asleep before they tried to figure out what had happened to Lisa, not that he didn’t care about Lisa but right now it had been Ben that Dean had found first and he had tried to make sure that Ben was ok more than anything else.
He knew that Jo was right and that she had been right for a couple of minutes when she had spoken, but at the same time Dean had been trying to come up with a plan and right now he didn’t think that he would be able to come up with a good plan. Yet he knew that they needed something to benefit them right now and he had to admit that he couldn’t think of anything. Then with a smash in the kitchen caused Dean to put Ben on his feet to walk into the kitchen and see a woman trapped where he had put a devil’s trap under the mat that Lisa had put under the dinner table.
“Looks like we have a guest.” He said calmly.

When the crash came from the kitchen, Jo looked toward the noise, "Looks like we have our plan, then." she said to Dean, "One of us should take Ben to Bobby and Sam. They can take care of him until we figure all this out." she suggested, waiting for Dean's decision, clearly making it his choice and not hers. She wouldnt do something he didnt think they should unless they absolutely had to. She looked at Ben, wishing she could be that young and innocent again. When her dad was still alive. Get over it, Joanna... He's gone and you cant bring him back. she thought to herself, looking down at the floor, hands balled into fists at the thought of her childhood and father, as she tried to control her emotions.
"Please tell me we get to interogate her, because I honestly feel like beating a demon up right now." she commented, looking at Dean. God, did she ever feel like beating the crap out of a demon. For everything the demons had done to her family, for everything they'd done to her. For everything they were doing to Ben's family at this very moment. Shaking it off and easing up on her hands, she kept her eyes at the ground, refusing to look at Dean. She wouldnt show him how weak she felt right now, how upset she was, how badly she wanted her parents back. She didnt trust herself not to cry if she did look at him.

--*I'm not the one who's so far away*-- WHEN I FEEL THE SNAKE BITE ENTER MY VEINS (*Never did I wanna be here again*) Ben just wanted to get out of there before the situation went from bad to worse. Before one of them got hurt, and he knew that he wouldn’t forgive himself if they did. He was the one to call Dean, and thus making the older Winchester rush towards him. All because he was in trouble, and he should have known that Dean would have dropped whatever he was doing and rushed over to check on him. And that if this was indeed a trap for him like the blond woman said, he didn’t want the guy hurt. Before his train of thought went much further, he heard a smash in the kitchen as if someone was entering. Dean put him down on his feet before entering the kitchen, to check it out. Not wanting to be more then two feet away, the 12 year old stuck close to Dean as he moved.
“Looks like we have a guest.”
He saw a lady struggling to get out of a space as if there was an invisible wall around her. She seemed rather angry, and whirled around we the three of them entered. The rage on her face frightened him, and he ducked slightly behind Dean. He knew that the older man would keep him safe, as he saved him when he was eight. The blond that was with them asked if she can interrogate the lady, and he looked up to the guy he admired in puzzlement. The other lady seemed to give them an evil smile, as she spotted both boys together. ”It seemed that it worked.” She taunted and calmed down. Something told the preteen that this was not good, not good at all.
Ben was of course right, and three large men stepped into view their eyes completely black. The boy’s eyes widen, and he pressed himself against Dean. He didn’t like this, and he had a feeling that neither did Dean or his friend. Next thing he felt was something grab him and pull him away from the guy he thought of as a dad, and was being rushed toward the three men across the room. He was panicking, and even more frightened that before Dean and his friend had gotten there. His eyes sought out Dean’s, the fear clearly written in them. One of the men had restrained him when he finally reached the small group. ”Dean!” He squealed in a tone to match his eyes.

Dean just watched the demon as she struggled, this showed that Lisa and Ben where not safe here, hell Ben could have been dead if he hadn’t left the gun where he had. He bet that Lisa wouldn’t think he was paranoid now as he had kept her son safe, even if Ben didn’t want anything to do with him or he wasn’t Ben’s father he felt like it and he would keep him safe to the best of his ability no matter what that was, yet at the same time he got the feeling that no matter what he did he would always be drawn back here to Ben and Lisa and that made him think that he was Ben’s father because of the fact that he hadn’t felt that way about anyone else.
As three other demons entered the room Dean was already shooting, he caught one in the shoulder mangling the arm instantly blood spurting from his arm quickly as Dean shot again nailing him in the throat, he didn’t care much for the people right now as Dean just wanted Ben safe, as he noticed that Ben was being to them telekinetically he shot the other two men in the knees and ankles which meant that they would be down completely and they wouldn’t be able to get to Ben, Dean sighed when he saw the telekinesis fizzle out, turning back the demon woman he spoke.
“Ok, let’s try this again what are you doing here?” he said

Jo had her knives out the second the demons burst in and had caught one of them in the side with them. When she looked at Ben, she moved to stand near him protectively, gently moving him away from the demons, "You okay?" she asked him, keeping her eyes on the three to make sure they didnt make any sudden movements.
"Dean, we cant stay here long. More are waiting for us. We have to get Ben to safety." she said. She didnt know how she knew there were more. She just sort of had that feeling about the whole thing. She wanted to get Ben and Dean out of here now so they could get the kid to somewhere safe and so that she and Dean could go find Lisa. It was lucky Dean had had a gun in the house to begin with or they would have taken Ben too.
She looked at the female demon briefly, waiting for her answer, "Ben, dont leave this room okay?" she murmered to him quietly, crouching down to pick up any weapons from the demons persons, "Stay close to Dean and I." She put the weapons she found in her own jacket. Wouldnt want them to think they could surprise the three of them.

Father of mine Tell me where have you been
As Ben was sailing through the air, someone was firing a gun in the direction he was floating. One of the demons got caught in the shoulder, making that arm useless for anything else. He suddenly realized that Dean was the one shooting and he quickly squeezed the trigger again hitting the same demon in the throat, blood was of course spurting everywhere. He noticed that he was much closer to them, and that the older Winchester had just as quickly disabled the other two by blowing out their knees and ankles, and he suddenly dropped hard to the floor. A loud thud could be heard from his landing, and he quickly struggled to get to his feet. He then stumbled rather clumsily toward Dean and the blond lady with him, tripping over his own two feet as he rushed to the safest place he knew to be. As close to Dean as he could. He trusted the oldest Winchester, and so far it seemed to him that the man knew what was going on.
”Ok, let‘s try this again what are you doing here?”
The 12 year old boy barely heard a word the blond said to him, only slightly nodding his head when she asked if he was okay. He was of course fine, but he was more curious about what the lady who seemed to be trapped said to Dean. They came into his home, uninvited and tryied to take him away like his mother, and he wanted to know the answer. More like needed to know the answer. ”Haven‘t you figured it out yet, Winchester? You are not quite the hunter that your reputation precedes.” The lady singsonged toward Dean and kept darting her between him and the boy. However, before another thing was said or done, something that sounded like a bad wind or thunderstorm was quickly approaching the house. The boy inched even closer to the man, terrified of this new development, and the lady only seemed to smirk and smile wider. ”Seems that they have arrived. Too bad that you didn‘t check all of the barriers, Dean.” The lady taunted as a thick cloud of black smoke drifted into the house and into the kitchen. It seemed to be searching for something, and it finally seemed to have settled on the little boy.
Ben clutched Dean tightly as the smoke seemed to drift toward him. He didn‘t even know what that was, but he knew it was bad. Very, very bad. ”Dean…” He whispered fearfully, trying to get away from the approaching cloud of smoke toward him. He wanted to put as much distance between him at it, but he had a feeling that it would do him no good if he did.

Dean had to admit that he didn’t like this at all, the demons had seemed to have had a plan worked out but he had mapped the kitchen out like a battleground he had a devil’s trap above his own head and if he could get Ben back enough then the smoke would pass through it and then he would be safe and the demon would be suspended in the devil’s trap which would keep Ben safe and at the same time it would cause the demons to slow down, he didn’t know if it would work but he figured that it was worth a try, as they backed up Dean was glad to see that the demon stopped when it entered the devil’s trap. Even though Dena was sure that they wouldn’t have long before the demon worked out that as smoke it had a good chance of getting out of the trap he knew that he would be faster, grabbing salt off of the kitchen counter he poured a long line of salt that would block the demon when it got out. “Well I’d love to stay and chat but we have Lisa to go find,” he said pulling Ben out of the room before turning to Jo and handing her the keys to the impala. “get Ben in the car I am going to get his things I shouldn’t be more than a couple of minutes.”

Jo didnt like this at all. She looked at the demons, watching Dean put down a line of salt so the demons wouldnt be able to get out. But how well would that work? Looking at Dean, she took the keys to the Impala and watched him carefully, moving and speaking in a low tone so Ben and the demons couldnt hear, "I dont like this Dean... Its all too cleverly planned out." she said softly. She was clearly worried about this whole ordeal, "You've got ten minutes to get Ben's things and get out of the house. If I dont see you walking out that front door and toward the Impala by then I'm coming back in."
Turning away from him, she looked toward the female demon once more before leading Ben safely outside, "Okay, Ben, I want you to do something for me, okay?" she said once they reached the Impala, kneeling so they were eye level, "You need to hide in the back seat for me okay? I'm going to stay out here, just at the passenger doors so if anything tries to jump us, I'll be able to defend you. But I want you to get in the back and stay as low as you can so no one can see you through the window except me, okay?"
Taking her jacket off, she handed it to the younger boy, "If you need to, keep this over you so it hides you from sight, but only if you know a demon's approaching."

Father of mine Tell me where have you been
Ben didn‘t like the idea of that black smoke coming for him. He didn‘t know what was going on, but he had a bad feeling that he was a reason that they were there. He clenched his smaller hands closed around Dean‘s clothing, fearful of letting go. He let the man he thought of as a father usher him backwards through a design that he didn‘t notice before in the ceiling of the kitchen, and then surprisingly the smoke stopped when it entered the symbol. He watched as Dean grabbed some salt and poured a circle around the symbol that holds the black smoke, and noticed that it was breaking down whatever barrier was keeping it inside of it. But then he smarted off saying he‘d love to stay and talk but they had to go find his mom, and then the older Winchester literally pulled him out of the kitchen in a comical fashion. One that would cause a laugh riot if they were not being persuade by these creatures. He saw Dean hand the blond his car keys and told her to get him in the car while he went to go get his stuff.
He let her lead him outside to the familiar car, and asked him to hide in the backseat. He nodded his head and took the offered jacket before climbing into the backseat and laying down on the floor board. He was low, but not low enough to where the lady couldn‘t see him. ”I hope he comes out soon…” He said more to himself, wanting and wishing he would come out, jump into the car, and speed away to take him to safety.

Dean didn’t like this at all but he would get Jo and Ben to safety then they would save Lisa and then they would get the hell out of this place and back to Bobby’s sure he was pissed at Bobby but Bobby’s was home and it was the only safe place for Ben that wasn’t with Dean and right now he couldn’t have Ben with him as he was dangerous with what had been going on with the hunts that he had been on. Reaching Ben’s room he grabbed the emergency duffle that he had packed for if there was ever anything that he had been expecting happened. He was glad to see that Lisa had kept it, she had been worried he was insane when he had mentioned it but he had told her he wouldn’t tell her how to be Ben’s mom and she wouldn’t tell him how to be Dean Winchester.
Going downstairs Dean could see that the demons had gotten out of the kitchen and had been moving towards the door, firing his shotgun he caught the woman in the back of her head, blowing her neck apart her head barely holding on, as she fell Dean smirked she had thought that she could come into Lisa’s home and have an advantage over him. Nobody fucked with the family of Dean Winchester and got away with it, even Dean Winchester. Dean then ran down the stairs and hopped the banister deciding that he couldn’t move fast enough. Landing on his left ankle he groaned as it clicked beneath him. “that isn’t good.” He said as he crumpled to the floor looking upwards he sighed and spoke. “Cas, Winchester down little help?”

Angel of Thursday
nerdy little angel

[ce The first sign that Castiel had heard Dean's call was not the rush of wings or the angel's voice or even the sight of him standing there as he so often was when he just popped into the Winchesters' lives. Rather it was a gurgle. Specifically the sound of a demon that's just found that twenty-two inches of heaven-forged steel is now protruding through its chest and that last sad sound it made before light erupted from its eyes and mouth as it burned away to nothingness even as the angel was yanking his blade out of its meat and moving on to the next one. He'd learned that trick from Jophiel. Castiel whirled through the house, trench coat flapping and his angelic blade gleaming with blood and holy fury as he dispatched the demons one after the other, doing something complicated with wind currents and sheer rage that grabbed at the one that was currently out of its meatsuit and pinned it in place long enough for him to flood it with that same white light that had been exploding out of the others as he took them down. And then it was just over. No particular dramatics, just that flare of white as the last demon died and then Cas tucked the sword away behind him and went over to Dean's side, crouching down to one knee and laying his hand on the broken ankle. "You looked upward again." Castiel was actually grinning a bit as he said it, though it was harder to see with his head bent while he healed the damaged leg. "It is a most curious habit."
