Jo reached into the back and gave Ben something no one else would have ever been able to touch. Her fathers knife, "Here. This was my fathers before he died. See the pentacle in the side? It'll protect you... If anything somehow manages to get into the car and I cant do anything, use that." she said, making sure Ben had the knife before she closed the door. She kept an eye on the child, biting her lip as she also watched the entrance to the house.
I hope he comes back soon... she thought. She knew that Dean would want her to take Ben to Bobby and Sam if something went wrong, so she would, but she had to focus on getting Dean back safely too. She wasnt about to just abandon his sorry ass after all he'd done for her in the past. Waiting, she leaned back against the side of the car, making sure she could still watch Ben while she watched the house. Cmon, Dean... get out here..

Father of mine Tell me where have you been
Ben crouched down on the floorboard of the backseat of the impala, clutching the jacket to him just in case he has to cover himself up. His mind was going over the brief conversation with the woman trapped in the kitchen, and how she seemed to move her black eyes between him and Dean. It was as if she knew something that they didn‘t. The older Winchester was like a father to him, heck he was the only father he had known and the young boy actually looked up to him. He was suddenly reminded of all the mornings he cooked breakfast and the times that he had helped him with the truck and maintaining it. He actually enjoyed learning about the engine and how to troubleshoot minor problems. He suddenly wished he had more of those moments with Dean, and he somehow had a feeling that once they find his mom that he would leave and not see him again.
“Here. This was my fathers before he died. See the pentacle in the side? It’ll protect you… If anything somehow manages to get into the car and I cant do anything, use that.“
Next thing he knew was that the blond lady was handing him a knife, and he tenderly reached out and took it from her. He saw what she was saying about the symbol on the side, and also the initials on the side as well. He clutched the blade in front of him like a shield and a lifeline. There was no way that he could feel safe inside his house again after this, nor did he think that he‘ll ever feel safe again for a while. ”Dean…” He whimpered in partial fear, thinking the older man should have come out by now. He was scared something had happened to him, and he couldn‘t help but think that it was his fault.

As Dean heard the flapping around the house he knew that Cas had arrived, he knew that the angel had always looked out for him and there was going to be no chance of him being left alone to die with the fact that he knew that he could trust Cas to be there for him also the fact that his left ankle would be potentially broken or damaged Dean knew that he wasn’t going to be moving anywhere fast and he would have to try and get help from Cas for him to be able to get to his feet and even though he knew that he could trust the angel he did hope that he turned up. When Cas did turn up Dean couldn’t help but sigh at the angel as he tried to get to his feet.
“Well you are up there after all that is why I do it.” Dean said wincing at the pain in the left ankle as he tried to stand on it no matter how much Dean knew he was a good hunter he was still human and a cracked ankle still hurt like hell but he wouldn’t let Cas know how bad it was. “Thanks my whole leg just crumpled and I was nearly made a demon’s bitch.”

Jo hated waiting. She hated not being in the house to help Dean. And even though she knew Ben needed her protection more than Dean needed her backup right now, she couldnt help but wish she'd been able to stay in there and fight with him. She wasnt stupid though. She knew the rules. She knew she'd have to take Ben somewhere safe in the meantime, if Dean didnt come back. And then she'd come back and find out if he was dead or not.
She was already starting to get antsy. Watching the doorway of the house, she curled and uncurled her hands--making fists and then relaxing her grip. She couldnt handle this. She wanted to be in the fight and it took all her control to keep her from running into that house without thinking and beating the crap out of any demon that moved. But she knew Dean could handle himself, so she just waited.
Walking around to the drivers side of the car, she got in and shoved the key into the ignition, but didnt start the engine. She wasnt going to leave until Dean came out of that house, alive. Looking at Ben, she tried to give him a reassuring smile, "It'll be okay, hun. Dean's got a few tricks up his sleeve still. He'll be okay." she murmered. Now if she could just convince herself that.

"There are no more demons near. Just Jo and Ben out in the car. And Jo is about to come right back in here from impatience." He raised his eyebrows, not bothering to actually say anything pointed about it but just looking at Dean. "Are you finished here?"

Father of mine Tell me where have you been
Ben tried his best to keep his mind off of Dean, of whom he was extremely worried about. His mind could only play threw the last few hours as he waited for the man he considered as his father to arrive. Then there was that weird thing that happened in the kitchen with those other people and that strange acting black smokes. He was of course having trouble putting it all together, but he wasn‘t going to let anyone know that. This was something that he thought concerned him, and as soon as he thought that they were safe he was going to be asking Dean Winchester some questions about what had just happened in the kitchen. Like what did that woman mean, and why he was able to be lifted in the air without visible support, and more importantly why and what the black smoke was.
”It‘ll be okay, hun. Dean‘s got a few tricks up his sleeve still. He‘ll be okay.”
The little boy cowered in the floor behind the front seat, looking at the back of a female blond head. He really hoped the guy was okay. Even though they left things rough between them, he really looked up to him and trusted him. ”I hope so. I‘ve got some questions for him, and I want to tell him I‘m sorry…” He said quietly, not really knowing if she heard him or not. He just wanted Dean to come out, start the car, and drive them all out of there and to safety. Even though Dean had yelled at him the last time he saw the older Winchester, he still felt like he should apologize for wanting to help him do whatever he did…

Dean sighed at the fact that Cas seemed to be short with him not waiting to be healed before he had gotten to his feet but he was more concerned with Ben’s health than that of his own after all he loved his son and he would do anything to keep him safe. Sure he had no proof that Ben was his son but the fact that no other men in Ben’s life had claimed to be his father Dean felt that he was the closest thing that Ben had to a father right now and until someone else turned up it would stay that way. After all a lot of Ben’s mannerisms where very similar to Dean’s so it would be fair to suggest that he was Dean’s son even if Lisa didn’t want to admit it.
When Cas healed his leg Dean had to admit that he felt a lot better the pain in his leg was gone and he felt like it was better than he had been in a while he knew that Cas’s powers where good but he didn’t realise they had been good enough that it would heal his leg completely and he had to admit that he was glad that he was friends with the angel right now. “Yeah I am done here now that you went all higher power on the demons I am sure that they will think twice before they try and harm Lisa and Ben again,” he said looking around. “Are you travelling with us or are you leaving via angel travel?” he then turned and walked out to the car knowing that if the angel was following him then he would do so anyway.

I want to see the boy." The demon had had plenty of time to leave a mark on Ben, sink a hook into the boy that would let them track him, find him again, make it easier for him to be possessed or even just influenced. If that was the case, Castiel needed to know it, and counteract it. He owed the boy that much. It was doubtful that anyone understood just how much guilt Castiel carried about Lisa and Ben Braeden. The angel had actively pushed to create a situation where Dean could go to them, have the home and family that he'd always believed he wanted. He'd maneuvered and changed things to make it possible for Dean to have Lisa and Ben, and in the end Dean had turned out not to want them after all. Or, at least, not to want the life they were offering him and the chance that represented. Which was all very well for Dean, but where did that leave Lisa and her son? And so Castiel felt an extra responsibility to check on the boy, make sure that no lasting harm would come to him from this encounter, at least in the ways that the angel could control. Jo was getting more and more agitated. As soon as they hit the road, maybe even as soon as Ben fell asleep later, she'd beat Dean's sorry ass for sticking in there alone against a gang of demons he clearly couldnt handle solo. The agitation she felt slowly eased away, though, when she saw him emerge from the house. Breathing a sigh of relief, she got out of the car and closed the drivers side door with a loud slam, clearly still irritated. She didnt say anything about it though.
When she realized Castiel was there with Dean, she couldnt help but smile. At least he hadnt been alone after all. Cas was always there to help when Dean needed him, "Castiel.." she said in greeting. The angel had been the one to tell her when she was brought back exactly who had brought her back, though she'd made him promise before that he wouldnt tell Dean. After a moment, she glanced toward Dean, examining the damage. He didnt look too bad. Cas must have pulled some healing strings on him before they left, "You okay, Winchester?" she asked, raising an eyebrow in concern. She wasnt going to let him see how worried she'd been, that was for sure.

Father of mine Tell me where have you been
Ben had heard his front door open and close twice, signaling that someone or something was entering or exiting his home. When the blond lady got out of the car, he took that as a cue to sit up and look out the window. As soon as he saw Dean, he didn‘t think of who else was there. He only saw the guy he thought of as his dad, and how okay he looked. He shot out of the car, dropping the knife the lady had given him on the ground, and rushed towards him. As soon as he was close to him, he launched himself into the air like he had done when Dean found him in the closet. The only thought he had in his mind was that everyone was safe, and that he would perhaps continued to be as long as he was with Dean. As soon as he was safe again, he looked at the guy who he thought of as a dad. ”Dean, what were those people? What did that lady mean? And why did that strange black smoke seemed to seek me out? And what was it?” He shot at the older man, before he took a deep breath and looked around.
He noticed the guy that came out with Dean, and he automatically clung to the older Winchester out of pure fear. Another stranger so soon after what happened in his kitchen, did not go over to well with him. He couldn‘t help but think that perhaps this other guy was another one of those things, and the way he was holding onto Dean clearly told anyone what he was thinking. ”Are you one of them?” He asked the man in a trench coat quietly, not wanting to get hurt or something happening to him.
